Nice little chippy, staff seem fairly friendly, food is cooked freshly, reasonably priced, good size portions.
My wife and I came to Blackmore with our caravan. Always on the first night we have fish and chips. Haregate didn't disappoint. The lady who served me told me they have been there 20 years. The fish we had was excellent and so very large it overhung the plates (see pictures) and cooked to perfection, chips were also very good. We will probably call again before the end of our break.

Great food, great service and great price. After setting up the caravan at a local site, I called in just after seven o'clock for three large chips, three large plain sausages, large peas and large curry sauce to feed me and the family. We all agreed the food was excellent. Will definitely be calling in again on our next visit to Leek. Highly recommended.
The aroma of a Chip Shop draws you in, but it is the good food and welcoming service that keeps you coming back for more. Staff were polite, efficient and helpful to people with disabilities. Cod, chips and curry sauce for my partner and a Steak Pie, chips and curry sauce for me. Good portions at a reasonable price and the food was excellent. Back for more soon? You bet!
Called in once because parking is easy now I wouldn’t go anywhere else in Leek. The food is great and very good value for money. The staff are very friendly. I would recommend the Fish Bar for anyone looking for a great meal with optional extras.

Everything you would want from a traditional chip shop plus a touch of Turkey and Cyprus to liven the menu. Lovely homely food. If you visit Leek seek out this venue.
