great food and service from the staff at the ship, eight of us dined last Thursday, the food was very good along with the service, could not fault the ship, we will be going again soon, many thanks to all at the ship.
Went in 16th Aug for the 1st time , car parking is big and can get your car on easy no not too over crowded. The pub seems nice . I think when you 1st walk in on reception area i think that needs to be renovated more better . It just looks like a corner gloomy corner pub , but then gets nicer and better where you eat. Not a criticism just honest feedback- Staff probably mean all good and well friendly from how it was. I think the staff there should be trained abit better or just be more aware of each customer that comes in for example i wasnt dressed up just causally comming in with my new born son which eas in a car travel and my mother , wanted put us on a table that only 2 hairs , so what you expect me do put my son on the floor? I then seated on a 4 table so i could put my son next to me on chair. The waitress saw i had a job on my shoulders of sorting my baby bag out and positioning my son in the seat and asks if we need drinks.. well yeah iv not even literally sat on the chair.. Anyway meal was okay. I feel like it was just thrown into some oven really but it was good for the price i paid. Yes I would come back , not in a massive rush but it is okay for somehwhere to eat and chill if your on the go.

Great place! The food is delicious and prices are very good for the quality and amount of food. I had the lamb shank and it was so soft and tasty. The waiters we're also very attentive and kind.
Warm , friendly, excellent home cooked food, great prices and very busy. Living in London and visiting family in Staffordshire, The Ship Inn is a great reminder of benefits and essential place of a real English Pub. We will be back!
Visited the Ship Inn on a few occasions now. The food is all home cooked. Good portions. Pricing is on par with other eateries, yet here you get real home cooked food. Service is waited. The atmosphere when full is lovely, homely and warm with a log burning fire. I only took pictures of desert (sorry). Crumble and chocolate orange sponge. Both beautiful and huge portions!
PERFECT 2 COURSES FOR £10 . Thought we'd try here as the draycott arms who do a similar deal have got gready since covid and proper raised there prices and after our meal tonight we'll never go back to draycott arms . Lovely food we both really enjoyed both of our courses good drinks really pleased to see kronenburg on draught and real chips at that price to which is always a bonus . A REAL LITTLE GEM IN LITTLE TEAN HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL
