   We had booked a table at 2.15pm there was only 3 tables in front of us. We waited 15 minutes to get our drinks and we waited 45 minutes for our pizzas(only pizzas on the menu) we also ordered fries which came out 20 minutes before the pizza. I had to ask how long our pizzas would be and we were told 5 minutes it was another 10 minutes before 2 of our pizzas came and another 5 minutes before the 3rd pizza came out. By this time we had finished our drinks. We went to the bar to get extra drinks only 1 bar staff on. We stood 10 minutes and still not been served. So we left the bar as we had waited long enough.The positive is the pizza was lovely. Don't think I will return

   Location and Food review: I met a friend here as this is halfway between our two locations in England. Ideal meeting point less than 10 minutes from A50. Ample car park. We both had wood fired pizza - this was amazing and great value - much better than chain restaurants. Bar and service staff were excellent. Will be using again in the future for meet ups and food.

   Can’t comment on the rooms as we didn’t stay. We stopped at The Huntsman as we were passing through Cheadle on the way home on a Sunday and were not disappointed. We were greeted warmly by the staff and shown to the lodge with lovely festive decor. The Sunday lunch was a generous size and was delicious! Our children had a wood fired pizza which was equally as delicious. Sad we didn’t get to stay for dessert due to time constraints but would definitely recommend to anyone passing through.

   Bar area with roaring fires is perfect. Very welcoming and friendly staff, well done all. Beer offering was excellent. Food, well, out of this world. Pizzas are the best we have had in a long time. BBQ burger was mouth watering. I would not change one thing. Well done and we will return when passing. We live 3hrs away.

   Nice and clean. Super comfortable beds! Friendly staff but the most impressive was the Food!!! Amazing pizza! The breakfast was superb, mushrooms fried in the butter and the best hash browns I have ever eaten- home made!!!! They got lost of awards and I really understand why :) It might be silly but we loved the chocolate bars in our room. Not cheap biscuits like in most of the hotels. Thank you so much we will definitely back to you when we visit Alton Towers

   What's not to love about the Huntsman... Great food, great staff, good choice of alcohol. Great to meet with friends or take the family to. The outside lodge is lovely and the roaring fire is ace!

   Found this place on our journey home from Alton towers. Ate in the barn out the back and wow its absolutely beautiful, gorgeous big Christmas tree and the whole place is decorated so nice, big roaring fire really was gorgeous. They have a pizza oven in there and the pizzas were absolutely delicious. Wonderful friendly staff and the pub dog Reg just topped off our visit cant recommend this place enough
