Bar staff fab, friendly and efficient. Serving chef, positive with a good sense of humour.. Our waiter for the evening 100% fabulous. Polite, efficient, patient with one of vulnerable players, checked all guests for allergies, checked with chefs and advised a member of our party accordingly. Cleaned away dishes so subtlety no one hardly noticed. Curtesy checked all in our group which was a large number. Apologised for 2 puddings coming out last just 3 minutes after the others which there wasnt a need for an apology as we were a very large group. We had also been sat early too. This young man didn't miss a beat. By far the best waiter ive ever come across, a few of us agreed, we've worked the sector one been a pro chef herself who's hard to impress lol. Some of us tipped as paying the bill. Once everyone had paid up some of the group got chatting with the waiter who thanked us again. We decided to collect a group tip.. We didnt need to or have to.. 1. Its christmas the season of good will and giving 2. The lad didnt miss a beat and deserved a little something. I took the glass to the bar with him set it down and told assumingly his manager that was his tips gave him and hug and wished him a merry Christmas. As the group started to leave a few minutes later he was clearly leaving for home and still went and checked a number plate on a taxi for one of our group before dashing to his car thanking us again. Honestly folks staff as busy as these were on our arrival and still keeping a high standard with a smile on their faces isnt easily found these days. To the Managers, thank you again its always a pleasure and a super well done on the hire of this waiter receipt said laim but I do believe his name is parki apologies if its spelt wrong most of us who asked his name are hard of hearing or have Dory memory lol. Thank you again from all of us a Leek CSOB We'll be back again soon, Have a merry Christmas and a blessed new year.

Went to Toby yesterday and I honestly had one of the nicest experiences I’ve had there in years... all because of a staff member called Kyle (he was stationed at the carvery counter). When I asked for the vegetarian option, the first thing he did was say, “Give me two minutes, I’m just going to wash my hands.” I’ve been here so many times and nobody has ever done that before. It might seem like a small thing, but as a vegetarian it meant so much. It showed real care and respect, and I genuinely appreciated it. He didn’t just serve me and move on either, he actually explained everything properly. He let me know which potatoes were in beef dripping, which bits I could have, and which gravy was the veggie one. It was honestly the most helpful service I’ve had there. I tipped him and made sure to mention it to management, because people like that deserve to be recognised. The food itself was delicious, as always. Yorkshire puddings were perfect. And I have to say… having mac and cheese on the carvery counter might be one of the best decisions Toby has ever made. I could have eaten a whole tray on my own. We also had dessert... the toffee apple crumble with ice cream. It was deeeelicious... so, so good. The only downside (and this is me being a little dramatic) was that they’d run out of the cherry flavour on the refill drinks. I was gutted, but I survived. Overall, such a lovely visit. Great food, and genuinely brilliant service from Kyle. It made a real difference. If going on a weekend I would recommend booking in advance.

as an autistic person this isn’t the best place to eat as it is very overstimulating with all the different sounds and people. i can’t thank the workers enough though as even though i was unable to attend because of being autistic, they said my parents could take my meal home for me in a take away box. not only did they do this, they also had no problem with keeping all the food separate and in all different labeled containers.this means so much that the workers are willing to do that extra bit to fit people’s needs. very happy. thankyou!

I visited Toby Carvery in Trentham recently and had a fantastic experience from start to finish. The food was fresh, hot and perfectly cooked, with a great choice of meats and vegetables that really stood out compared to other carveries I’ve been to. What made the visit even better was the service. Our waitress Jo was incredibly helpful, attentive and friendly throughout. She made sure everything was just right at the table, checked in without being intrusive and gave the whole experience a really welcoming feel. It’s rare to find such genuine service these days, and Jo really went the extra mile. Between the excellent food and Jo’s outstanding customer care, this was easily one of the best Toby Carvery visits I’ve had. I’ll definitely be coming back and recommending Trentham Toby Carvery to friends and family.

Best roast dinner around. All fresh and hot. Love this place. Try to go at least once when I'm staying in the area.

Had a date night and decided that a carvery is what we craved. Nice staff to begin with, waitresses were very polite and attentive. The price wasn’t much at all considering how much food you can actually get from the hot plates. The only reason I could give this five stars was because the gentleman doing the carving and things we found just a little off. And was quite abrupt in offering the meats or sausages. No conversation from him at all, just a one word question.

Very nice fresh quality food, good friendly efficient service and nice. Atmosphere, relaxed and not rowdy/busy. The man on the door had to check if they had a table which surprised me as there were a number of empty tables all through the dining area during our meal. It was a bit odd we thought. But would definitely go again.

Shocking takeaway. Arrived at the place at the collection time and waited 25 minutes to get my order. Very busy so fair enough. Got the order home, items missing and what I can only describe as the worst peice of meat I've ever seen on a plate. An inedible, fat, gristle and sinew piece of "beef" and what was at least a 60/40% ratio of cold fat and gammon. No care taken in serving up at all. Goes down as one of the worst meals I've ever been served and I will never go back.

Used to come here for breakfast weekly as the food was brilliant. The last 2 times I have been we have had to wait over 20 minutes for food items to be brought out resulting in a snaking queue around the restaurant right next to people who are trying to enjoy their breakfast. Also the sausages and hash browns need cooking a little longer, golden brown not anaemic is how people like their food. No Yorkshire pudding for 2 visits is a disgrace, it’s the only reason to come to Toby Carvery. I won’t be coming back again to spend my hard earned money, the cost of living is creeping up and I won’t be wasting any more money here. It’s a shame as this place used to be so good
