Food The 7-course tasting menu at Pecks delivered a genuinely enjoyable evening of flavours. Each dish arrived beautifully presented, with the standout of the night being the beef — cooked perfectly, rich, and honestly one of the best plates I’ve had in a while. The pacing between courses is intentionally slow, as part of the Pecks “dining theatre” style, where the next course is only served once the whole room has finished. We did have a slightly longer wait than usual because of a large work party dining that evening, but overall, the food quality held strong throughout. Experience The experience itself was pretty unique and definitely one to remember. We arrived to live music in the bar, which instantly elevated the atmosphere — such a lovely touch. The dining room is elegant, and although it would’ve been even nicer with some festive decorations (it is the season!), the overall setting still felt special. Just be prepared for a slower pace — it’s all part of how Pecks runs the show. Staff The team on the floor were genuinely great — young, enthusiastic, and working incredibly hard. You could tell they cared and were doing their absolute best. The only downside came towards the end of the evening. After the main course, service dropped off a little, and we waited around 15 minutes just for a peppermint tea with hot water. Other tables seemed to be waiting too. It felt like the younger team members were rushing around trying to juggle everything — petit fours, hot drinks, closing duties — while the managers (two male, one female) were more present in the room than active. A bit more hands-on support from management at that point would have made a huge difference and taken pressure off the younger staff. Overall, the staff were lovely and absolutely not the issue. They just needed stronger backup from leadership at the end of service. Overall: A great dining experience, fantastic beef, memorable setting, and genuinely lovely staff. With a little more end-of-service support from the management team, Pecks could easily elevate from great to exceptional.

An absolutely beautiful 7 course meal. We couldn’t fault anything. 5 stars ⭐️ isn’t enough for this fantastic place. My only one regret is, all the staff signed a birthday card for Lucy, and she forgot to pick it up. She was gutted on our way home.

Went to pecks on a Wednesday night where you can take your own alcohol if required. We were a party of four and totally loved the experience and food. Expertly described before each course. We had a 5 course menu. All courses had a wide variety to cater for any tastes. Thoroughly enjoyed my visit , we will be returning. Thank you. I'll add more photos later as they were on my camera not on my phone.

This was my first time visiting this restaurant. Upon arrival we were greeted by the waitress who took us to our table straight away. Drinks were brought over promptly before our orders were taken around 5 minutes later. The food was delicious and fresh, and each course took around 10 minutes to be brought out. The staff were attentive and professional, and asked how our meals were throughout the experience. Portion sizes were perfect for a three course lunch. The interior was a fair size, and there is also an upstairs dining area for groups/events. Overall I would visit again in the future. Only drawback would be the limited number of parking spaces outside.

Came in for Sunday lunch with a large group. Menu had varied options without being unnecessarily large. I went with the chicken liver parfait for my appetiser and the lamb for my main. Food arrived at well paced intervals and was always at the correct temperature. A lovely afternoon out. I would highly recommend as a Sunday option.

Really nice place for a meal to celebrate something special. The design and decor is beautiful. And the outside Gardens look lovely. Staff beautifully dressed and very attentive.

Great treat night out, it is unique and definitely something to remember a spacial occasion. The food was extraordinary but pay attention and choose wisely when the food is presented as the beef meal was overpowered by the horse radish. Overall a great selection of meals and all very tasty, we struggled to fit in all of the courses but they do offer a take out if you can't fit the desert and cheese board in. Be prepared for a late one as dinner at 8 finished after 11, so late taxi or drive home. Not cheap but very special.

Went here for the evening menu. Every course was nice, especially the beef bouginyon which was delicious, though I'd have preferred more sauce. Seeing what food options before choosing is good and adds a unique experience, but the waiting staff although lovely, came across as a bit impersonal and too scripted. There were so many cakes to choose from I forgot the first few. A menu for cakes would have been handy. Prices high(but reasonable for this kind of restaurant) No music Wheelchair friendly Not dog friendly Had no problems with parking Smart/ smart casual wear
