   I paid £19 for a bland salt & pepper chicken, fried rice, curry sauce and some seaweed. My first and last visit I’m afraid. I should have drove to Wingers instead.

   Being a creature of comfort I'm not fond of change, especially after using the same Chinese takeaway for many years. Yesterday I decided to give Beijing City a try and I can honestly say I wasn't disappointed. Firstly the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, they went out of their way to help me with my order. My mother ordered the Sweet & Sour King Prawn with a side of Sesame prawns on toast. Being a fan of Duck I was recommended the Roast duck & Char Siu which I also had with a side of Sesame prawns on toast and a portion of the Chilli pepper chips. The complete order was absolutely delicious and by far the best Chinese I've had in a long time. The sesame prawn toast was the best I've ever tasted and as for the chilli pepper chips, I just have to have their recipe. I wouldn't hesitate to give 6 stars if it was possible.

   Oh my gosh! What a great little find...! The best Chinese I've had! Everything was cooked fresh (pre order or be prepared to wait a little longer than average), but delicious, hot and so so SO tasty! Such a friendly little restaurant too, very impressed :D thank you!

   This is good, really good ! It was recommended to us by Chinese foodies, friends and colleagues. Authentic and traditional, they said ! Having worked in Hong Kong for over 30 years and eaten at many of the top Michelin-starred Hotels and local eateries over there, I must say, the food at the Beijing City is excellent ! My wife is Cantonese and was born in Hong Kong. When she ordered at the weekend, we were both, pleasantly, surprised by the superb quality of the meal, which was, remarkably, similar to the quality we enjoyed whilst living in Hong Kong. When you have eaten Chinese food, daily, for over thirty years, you instantly know the 'standard' and 'quality' of the establishment with the very first mouthful. It was excellent ! so fresh, so tasty and full of flavour. Chicken tasted like chicken, beef tasted like beef and prawns tasted like prawns. They weren't 'masked' by other strong flavours, as in other places ! The chicken and beef were so tender, the prawns were fresh and the vegetables so crisp. The food tasted freshly cooked and did not have that greasy, 'pre-cooked' taste that you get at other places ! Also, It didn't make you thirsty, which is a good sign that MSG has not been used and the meat weren't dry or chewy like other places that we have used in Congleton. We asked for and were so pleased that Beijing City were able to cook two favourite dishes of ours, which we used to have in Hong Kong, which weren't on the menu, we were so elated. (We have tried asking for the same at other places, only to be faced with 'quizzical' looks from the staff). Being able to cook our 'favourite' dishes proves Beijing City have genuine chefs in their kitchen. They have told us that, as they are from Hong Kong, they can make any dish that we are familiar with, from Hong Kong ! Therefore, next time we have our Chinese friends visit, Beijing City will be taking care of our catering needs ! We have tried all the other takeaways in Congleton, they all taste the same, greasy and full of MSG. Beijing City is superior and, undoubtedly, the best for Cantonese food ! It is ours, our friends and our colleagues' favourite takeaway ! Highly recommended !!!
