   The Rookery is a great fish and chip shop that everyone should experience at least once! I usually order for delivery which arrives fast and the food is always delicious and hot! I also love to come visit in person from time to time as the staff are extremely welcoming and friendly with bright smiles on their faces, it's always a pleasure to see them! The fish is cooked fresh to order which is not often seen in similar shops in the area. If I'm ordering on Wednesday, I sometimes treat myself to their homemade chicken curry which is incredible. I rate the Rooker 5 starts because the food is always fresh and delicious and the owners are some of the friendliest people I've met, highly recommended!

   Very nice place and A nice traditional English fish and chips. The owners and staff are great and very professional. The food a real treat. I suggest you try and pick up directly at the club.

   Ordered Breaded Fish & Chips for takeaway. The coating was dark brown and quite hard. On cutting into it, the inside was extremely oily and the fish had a dark orange film on it, which probably indicates that the cooking oil was too hot, so it had to be thrown away. Quite disappointing as it’s the second time we’ve been disappointed. We won’t be back a third time!

   I don’t normally leave reviews but I have to break that. I’ve been going a few weeks now and the food has been spot on every time! The chips…… they are the best I’ve had, cooked to perfection! I’ve not tried the fish so I can’t comment on that but everything else is great! My new chippy!

   New to the area and tried Rookery for the first time. Still very busy towards their closing time but they were very friendly and welcoming. The food was decent and definitely did the job. We will definitely go back. Sounds like they're new owners by the way so for anyone who has rated it poorly before give it a go again now
