Disabled Nightmare. In the area delivering Christmas presents and to have a meal with our Grandson. 3 issues gave a bad review. 1) Disabled parking ticket 2) poor quality meal. 3) matter of fact follow up. Now the visit relates to Sat 13 Dec; 1 - Parked in disabled space and used the scooter to access the building. There is no front access, you therefore feel like an unwanted guest straight away. Having advised in advance of our status it took some time for someone to facilitate access. Unfortunately in the delays we didn't give our reg. We believe that a staff member may have offered assistance but may have forgotten to enter details. We therefore had a parking notice! Online agents just jump on your comment of not entering detail. 2- The meal was greasy and poor quality, on our journey home. We both felt really ill. Naturally living out the area you decide; right well, we'll just avoid in the future. Due to the following parking notice we therefore highlight the quality issue. Customer service basically ignored and just recind the parking notice. 3- media team just state you forgot, not paying attention to the fact disabled access was questionable and led to customer confusion. All in all a lot of room for improvement. Sadly the customer service team only serve to create an even worse experience. A simple apology goes a long way. If your part of the customer service team. Review where things go wrong. It happens but to just pay lip service to a complaint won't fix the problems.

Cherry Tree Bar & Restaurant is an absolute gem and easily one of Newcastle’s standout spots. From the moment you walk in, you’re welcomed by a warm, relaxed atmosphere that strikes the perfect balance between stylish and comfortable. The food is exceptionally good value — beautifully presented, full of flavour, and clearly made with care. Every dish feels thoughtfully prepared, whether you’re stopping by for a casual meal or a special occasion. The drinks menu is equally impressive, offering a great selection to suit all tastes. What truly sets Cherry Tree apart, however, is the service. The staff are friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about ensuring you have a great experience without ever being overbearing. It’s rare to find a place where you feel so well looked after from start to finish. If you’re looking for fantastic food, great drinks, and a welcoming atmosphere, Cherry Tree Bar & Restaurant is a must-visit. Highly recommended — I’ll definitely be returning

I don’t usually leave bad reviews, but this meal was disappointing from start to finish. The pie arrived burnt on the inside, and when we cut into it it was dry and burnt as you can clearly see on the pictures. The mash was basically packet mash slapped ok the plate. The fatty, rubbery meat that was barely edible. The chips we ordered on the side were just as bad—dry, bland, and clearly not fresh. The one saving grace was the starters, which were actually lovely and gave us hope for the rest of the meal. Unfortunately, everything after that completely missed the mark. Overall, a very underwhelming experience. The staff never came over to clear our plates or to ask if our meal was ok, to give us the chance to say we didn’t like it. So we left they clearly knew we didn’t like it and they didn’t want to face us or hear what we had to say. Waitress- blonde hair completely walked past us. Upon leaving no staff were around like they were hiding. Absolutely appalled. We left starving. What a waste of money.

Wednesday curry day, my wife and I had the big curry and they were very nice, and the price was good as well, Really enjoyed them. The onion bhajis are amazing.

Went for brunch with my mother, setting is spacious and exudes a warm vibe. There was plenty of sunlight due to many windows. Staff were accommodating and friendly, bringing our meal with a smile on their face and shortly asking us if everything is okay, which is something we really appreciate because it really does brighten our day

Wonderful pub and restaurant. My dog Daisy was welcomed into the bar area with a cool bowl of water. She enjoyed helping me eat a Cajun Chicken salad roll and chips. Good range of ales available. I used to be a Nurse at City General Hospital, as was, now the Royal Stoke, so it was a bit of a trip back in time for me. The staff may have changed, but this is still a fine pub with great food. Try it for yourselves some time soon

Can't really go wrong, decent food and something for everyone and a good price. Was very impressed with the roast beef..went large and was almost defeated! Bit hotter maybe but pretty good. Staff were ok.
