Dined here last night. Lovely experience. I had Steak and Ale pie and my wife had the Chicken Ham and Leek pie. All really tasty and well presented. Great veg also. Service a little slow to take our order then everything else was fab. Great dining room also. Didn't really like the service charge automatically added to the bill which you could have removed if you asked about it. Who would do that? Ironically we would normally tip more anyway but prefer to do it ourselves and not have it forced on you. Apart from that all good. Great choice of drinks also.

Awful food, way overpriced for what I received. The first pic is Panko chicken. One thin slice of chicken on a few - quite hard saúted potatoes (literally about 5 small pieces of potato) with a sauce dolloped on top, no additional veg at all. No presentation at all. I didn't complain as I was with a birthday celebration party and didn't want to spoil it, but many others weren't happy with their meal either. The condiments were brought to us as the plates were being cleared. The cheesecake was very average, no taste to it, just a small blob of sorbet on top. This meal cost me £29.95. Needless to say I won't be returning. The young male server was very pleasant and helpful. I didn't notice his name. We weren't in the majn restaurant, we were in the tipi, which is lovely for a party, which was enjoyed by all. I'm not hard to please, but this was awful.

The Swan with Two Necks has potential - but more often than not, it plays like a coin toss. I’ve dined here a quite a few times to see how it can be after a few visits, mostly on Sundays and typically opt for a “best of both” roast with veg. It can be solid, but the consistency just isn’t there. I usually ask to swap the roast potatoes for extra greens - and for good reason: the potatoes are often dryer than the Sahara in a heatwave. When they get it right, it works… but that’s more the exception than the rule. The staff are polite, but attentiveness can really drop off during busy periods. It’s not rude service - just a bit disengaged when it matters most, especially when trying to place an order or get a small request acknowledged. Now, to give credit where it’s due: dessert was excellent. The sticky toffee pudding (pictured) was rich, flavourful, and finished the meal strong. Easily the highlight. But overall? The experience is average. If the kitchen gave more attention to plating and consistency during peak times, the meals could punch far above its weight. As it stands, it’s hit or miss. Safe enough for a casual meal, but not something I’d go out of my way for. 3*.

We stopped at the Swan with two necks on one of the hottest days of the year and were really glad to find the restaurant had working air con. We wanted a quick bite as it was late in the afternoon and we had missed lunch. We both chose steak and blue cheese on sourdough from the sandwich menu. It was served quickly and was delicious. The restaurant was comfortable and the staff were friendly and efficient.

A superb, stylish, cosy modern ambiance with warm, friendly and inviting staff. My Mum and Dad kindly took me there for a birthday meal and the entire experience was delightful. The menu was so good I found it extremely difficult to make a choice but when I did, the food arrived in a timely fashion and was absolutely delicious. They clearly have an excellent chef/team of chefs because the standard of the food really was excellent. Each course was of an exceptional quality and was certainly able to justify the price range. The white chocolate cookie dough with caramelised bananas, ice cream and toffee dessert was, in both mine and my Mum’s opinion, one of the best desserts we’d tasted in a long time. Truly divine. The staff were the epitome of professionalism, attentive and friendly; willing to engage in a bit of banter as well as providing excellent service. I can’t recommend this restaurant enough. It’s well worth the money.

For mains we had Fish Pie and the steak&Ale pie, both tasted amazing. The veg on the steak pie looked a bit lost on the plate so maybe could of done with a bit more but that’s just being picky! For pudding we had the cookie dough which was delicious and the chocolate orange tart which was very rich so I’d recommend this for anyone who likes dark chocolate. We would definitely go here again!

Waiter was very attentive. We visited with x2 children but weren't offered the children's menus. Ordered x4 starters and x4 mains. The starters looked lovely and were good portions. The mains were x2 good portions and x2 okay portions. Not.much vegetables with any of the mains. Okay of uou want a treat but can get as good a quality of food for less money. It was a special occasion but wasn't made to feel like it was.

Ended up at this country pub style restaurant after a great birthday trip to the local Monkey Forest. Service was fantastic with very friendly and warming staff. Food was brought in a timely manner and was amazing too! Surrounding are beautiful, fields left right and centre. The grounds are also very well presented with outdoor heaters and speakers for relaxing music. Would definitely attend again!

Eat here for my wife birthday Booked in advance to ensure if table. Starters were sesame chicken and duck spring roll. Both very nice, the spring roll had a salad bar with chilli pieces, the sesame chicken came in a sweet sauce. For main I had rib eye steak with blue cheese sauce and chips. This was cooked medium rare and was very nicely cooked. My wife had area bass which came with a mashed potato base and tomato sauce, the mash wash smooth and my wife said it was nice and light. Prices are a little more than some places, but if you want decent food, it's better to pay that little bit more. Neither of us could manage a dessert. Good food, good service, nice environment. What's not to enjoy Didn't give it the full 5 star due to lack off choice on real beer and an annoying fly hovering about the tables.

Not been here for nearly forty years so it was lovely to see it all refurbished and looking smart. Went on a whim and what a good choice it was. The place looks beautiful, it's lovely and airy inside and very nicely turned out. Fantastic garden with loads of tables. Food was superb, I had a few small plates instead of a main course. The crispy belly pork, the crispy chicken and the truffle mac & cheese. The belly pork is one of the nicest I've ever had. I have attached photos of my visit, unfortunately I was half way through my food before I remembered but I took pics anyway. Highly recommend this place.
