   We were made very welcome and shown to a table beside a lovely fire. We ordered some drinks and had a good look at the menu. Great selection of things on there to suit all tastes. I opted for the Cumberland sausage with mash and I wasn't disappointed beautiful creamy mash and thick delicious gravy. My husband really enjoyed his salmon he said it was beautifully cooked. Our veggie son tucked into the sweet potato and carrot burger, he said he was going to try to recreate it at home. Sticky toffee pudding is one of our favourites the fact it was gluten free was a bonus, so of course we had to test it. Amazing. Next time we are in the area we will definitely be back.

   The cross Keys pub in Redgrave was our first pub we ate in since our move to Suffolk earlier this month. We had driven past it a few times in the last 2 weeks and admired its lovely kerb appeal and location. We wanted a dog friendly pub that offered a good vegetarian roast. In my opinion, their veggie roast was excellent, and I’ve had many. The sweet potato and spinach wellington was so good and a good sized portion too. Plus lots of vegetables, roast potatoes, even parsnips, and a big Yorkshire pudding. Our son had the burger and considering he’s a fussy eater, said it was delicious. We also had deserts ( sticky toffee and brownies) and drinks. The service was quick and staff really friendly. They even offered to put together a ‘dinner’ for our dog, should we have wanted one. Stunning log fire and a pool table too, in the area we ate in as we had a large dog. There are also quieter snug areas to dine and drink too. Overall, a really lovely friendly pub with great food and atmosphere. We definitely recommend The Cross Keys and will be back! First impression of pubs in Suffolk is excellent!

   Visited on the 15th March for a late Mother’s Day lunch after looking for ages for somewhere different to eat! Came across this pub after scrolling through Google, reading the wonderful reviews and also looking to see the vegetarian options on the menu as one of our party is vegetarian and can be hard to find places that have a nice variety the menu was very inclusive for them too so I was instantly sold! Walked in around 12.30 and was informed to sit wherever we liked and showed where there was more seating, found a beautiful table just by the window with a lovely view of the village! Greeted very quickly by a very attentive staff member who allowed us time to get seated and look at the menu, I asked if there was anything she recommended from the food menu and gave the options I was stuck between, she was very informative and helpful even though she said she hadn’t worked there long it didn’t seem that way! There was a bit of a wait for food but that was to be expected as we were in the early and everything appeared to be homemade! When the food did come out we were amazed at the presentation and even more taken back by the taste! There was clear plates all round which is amazing as I’ve never known one of us to clear a plate completely! After we were finished we were given time to think about desserts which was nice to not feel rushed and give our main meals time to digest, we all decided on a dessert which was brought out in good time and all were amazingly presented and tasted just as good as they looked! Unfortunately I didn’t get the girls name that served our table but she was amazing! Overall we are extremely happy with the experience we had and will definitely be back in the future as well as recommending to friends and family!

   Visited for Sunday lunch on recommendation as a half way meet I will say the staff were friendly and helpful, the pub had a friendly atmosphere and we had a table in front of an open fire. Such a shame that the food was so disappointing. I started with a fish cake which was still frozen solid in the centre. Strange as we were an early service and it's not like it was busy at that point. We were told there were no Yorkshires with the roast as the oven had caught fire and they were spoiled. Fair enough these things happen, when the dinner came there was nothing on to compensate and nothing generous size wise. The plates were stone cold and the food not much warmer, all 4 meals had to be sent back to re heat, they came back a little warmer but barely. One of our party ate very little as a result and when asked by the staff we voiced our disappointment. We were asked if we were locals or just visiting, this obviously had an impact on any decision to reduce the bill as they didn't do so or offer anything to redeem the experience. We won't be returning.

   Wonderful community pub brought back to life by the village with great food a friendly atmosphere and pleasant decor. Recommended for a meal or simply a quiet drink overlooking the village green and duck pond in the heart of Redgrave.
