awful customer service, plus when i went there a year or so ago, they were shouting at people for “being in the store too long”, there is a TIME limit for you to look around? most of the workers looked at me like i was the most evil person to walk this planet. ALL the products that i have seen in their shop can be bought for a quarter OR LESS of the price that they are selling it for on shein or aliexpress. my friend bought a shirt in there for £25 and was found for £3 on shein. dont bother

avoid shopping from here. i didn't realise when i visited 2+ years ago but since being back it's plainly obvious that this store is reselling items that cost £3 on Shein and Aliexpress for a 10x uplift in price. feel any of the items of clothing with your hand and you will see the quality of what's being sold. the tags and labels have all been removed so every item is 'unbranded' because they don't want you to catch on that it's all dropshipping. i would give it 0 starts if possible.

I should have read the reviews when I came across this shop. Got two super cute cardigans and I was in doubt as they were quite expensive (£60 each). But since they had no label and there weren't much of them so I figured it was handmade or something. Later to find out they were from TEMU, I got an ad for the same cardigans. Even though they are still cute I hate that I fell for this now and don't feel like wearing them...

Terrible dropship items. Got these boots and they fell apart in 2 months. First few days of getting them they started to crack at the heels. When I reached out to them, they left me on read.

Do not buy from here! Went in there the other day, was excited to find alt fashion shop in Brighton - it's all dropshipped from Shein and AliExpress. I was trying a hoodie, £40 for horrible plastic quality, something just didn't feel right. As I walked around everything was ridiculously expensive, but the quality was horrendous, extremely low quality prints, cheapest fabrics, the staff was rude but I'm not surprised, takes a specific type of person to work in a place like that. As proven by many other reviewers, everything I saw, I could easily find online for £5-£10, many of those items are on forever discounts, but the store will sell for 3x amount. There are no alt shops in Brighton anymore, go thrift instead, save your money and don't support scams!

I used to always pop in here for a browse. I’ve always bought lovely Banned, Hell Bunny & Collectif items in here at reduced prices plus they always had such a lovely selection of dresses and things in here. But the last couple of times recently, I’ve been really disappointed. There’s been nothing like I used to shop, none of the lovely dresses they always used to sell, it all just seemed a bit like cheap tat which surprised me. Then I came on here and saw all the other reviews saying similar things to what I found. The comments saying the items are from Shein and being marked up was quite shocking to read. Sure enough, I saw a T-shirt seen in Tuff Tarts, searched on Shein and saw it sitting on the website! Such a shame, as this used to be such a great shop. I would go elsewhere in the Laines to spend your money.

People aren't wrong, it is kinda expensive there HOWEVER it's not all that bad. There is kind of a 50/50 on weather you will get helpful staff or not but it is overall a good alter shop for dream core/kid core and anything Gothic. It's worth at least poking your head in and taking a look.

This shop used to be one of my all time faves for alternative designers and independent clothes, such as Collectif, but has now turned into a Shein/aliexpress drop shipping store and the original Shein labels have been cut off. Buyer Beware: The same earrings for £8 here will cost you £1.99 on Shein, and a £35 jumper will cost £10 on Shein, etc, huge price markup. It’s a real shame to see what happened to this place but I still do find a few of the old pieces I used to go in for amongst the terrible quality Shein clothes with a huge price tag, you just have to hunt for it now.

As the other reviews have mentioned, most of the stuff in this store is from a Chinese wholesaler, mixed in with some Banned. None of the items had price tags, and they didn't even have the courtesy to sew their own labels into the products. When I walked in the lady at the till was miserable and unwelcoming. I had a little look around and they had some nice items although the lack of price labelling put me off. The other reviews have confirmed that it seems they just make the prices up when you take them to the till. I wouldn't go back here, it seems like a rip-off.

honestly, some of the things in this shop are from Shein or Aliexpress, but some are genuine designer and I think its up to the buyer to decide whether they want to purchase something or not. If you are spending £35 on a £5 shirt from Shein in this shop, clearly you’ve thought it was worth £35. Anyways, my point here is that I do not care if the necklaces are from Shein or whatever, but I bought a pretty chain with four bits to it, (a charm that says angel, a safety pin with some dice on it, a padlock, and just a normal chain), and i have lost it. If this shop offered delivery I would order it from them, however, i am currently just asking for a link to the item or something. Many thanks.
