We had a wonderful brunch here today with great food. I want to give a special mention to our lovely waitress Maria who went over and above in providing a brilliant service, in particular being very charming and patient with my 90 year old grandma! Would definitely recommend and will be coming back.

After lavishly praising their veggie breakfast they have now decided to stop doing it. This is Brighton, home of veggieness, and they are only doing a very meaty breakfast. OK so there are other options but I like the variety of a full English which can't be assembled a la carte. Staff very apologetic to be fair. Wondered if the chef got fed up with making it. Great pity will now have to go elsewhere...

Overall: 63 //100pts 1. Service /greetings /friendliness/staff/cleanliness: 7 2. Ambience / Atmosphere: 8 3. Presentation / serving: 8 4. Brewing method: 6 5. Cafe Machine: quality / cleanliness / maintenance: 8 6. Crema (thickness, colour, consistency): 5 7. Texture (quality) 5 8. Body (density) 5 9. Flavor (complexity, balance): 5 10. Aroma / Nose: 6 During this visit, the staff didn’t seem particularly friendly or helpful. However, I’ve been here before and have met team members who were kind and smiling, so I know the service can be much better. The espresso had a light, bubbly crema that only formed around the edges, and the flavor was sharply citrusy and felt thin. This suggests an under-extracted shot, possibly due to uneven tamping or grind issues. It was only a medium experience.

I have heard mixed things about the Flour Pot chain but always walk and past and think it looks lovely, so I decided to give it a go! The atmosphere was buzzing, being very full on a random Thursday lunchtime, people chatting, working or dining solo. It was very pleasant and the bright and airy decor made for an excellent vibe that you feel pretty comfortable in. I was seated pretty fast given how busy it was, and despite the service being a little blunt and inattentive, overall my experience with the staff was good. The coffee was great. It not only looked great with some brilliant latte art, but tasted it too. The beans and barista must both be pretty good, because I thoroughly enjoyed it. That being said, the food, especially for the rather high prices, was a let down. I ordered the Mexican Benedict, expecting an exciting and innovative take on the classic. Though the eggs were packed perfectly, the dish just lacked seasoning and excitement, and I was left very hungry after splashing out over £14. Everything was well made enough, but completely missing any wow. I followed it up with a carrot cake as a result, which was divine. Flavoursome, chunky and filled with nuts and seeds, this made me a happy boy to end my visit. All in all, there’s not much wrong about the Flour Pot, it’s a great atmosphere and lovely place to be, with outstanding coffee and alright food. There’s places in Brighton that are really worth the trip and the money, a little more so than here though. It’s defo worth a visit, but I’m undecided on whether I’ll be back or not just yet!

One of my favourite brunch haunts in Brighton, this place is always bustling and rightly so. Delicious brunch options, tasteful vibrant decor and a bakery where custom where customers can purchase anything from sourdough to a brioche. Recommended!

Friendly service, lovely food, nice light building. A lovely place to stop and have a coffee and have a delicious sausage roll

TOP COFFEE ADDRESS IN TOWN! 1) Food – above average, comparing to most of the other Cafes/Sandwich Bars in Brighton, in terms of taste, ingredients quality and quantity is also as it should be. My favourite coffee in Town though with its specific sourness level and depth. 2) Customer service – all of them, in every FPB branch are genuinely kind and there to serve you so you can enjoy your time. 3) Interior – I really like the Alice in Wonderland chess style floor and the rest of the interior. However, only Fiveways branch is big enough to really enjoy the time sitting there or having a meeting. All other subsidiaries are very tiny and rather takeaway oriented. 4) Price – yes, it is an overpriced place and I agree with people, but at the same time, I appreciate, that they really trying to create a different place, with its own unique identity, values, better food, quality coffee grains and bakery products which obviously are not even comparable to the horrible ones in popular chains and groceries.

Strangely unwelcoming compared to other flourpot bakeries. Food looked a bit unappetising, big lumpy sandwiches dripping with melted cheese looked not very nice. Poor customer service. Stood at counter without being asked if we could be helped for ages. Upper floor closing but told to sit in ground floor area where little choice. Not what I expect from flourpot in other areas

Love the new premises with extended dining area, very light and airy. Delicious coffee and food, they use extremely high quality ingredients. Particularly enjoyed the granola bowl and sourdough toast. Friendly and helpful service too.

This is a lovely cafe and bakery with amazing service and excellent quality food. They also have fresh baked breads, buns, pastries and bundy’s every day, it’s pricey but no more so that anywhere this good in Brighton. It’s out of the centre so you will almost always get a seat, and with outside seating on a not overly busy route, you can enjoy your food in the sunshine. It’s part of the five ways junction which is surrounded by amazing little shops, so well worth a trip out of the city centre for a visit and lunch, and within walking distance of the hills and forests so great for before or after you do your big walk.
