   Don't like leaving negative reviews, the staff were ok but seemed a bit distant considering they are on the big kings Road Location, unfortunately (as another reviewer has already stated) the fish and chips may as well have come from Iceland. I know from working in the frozen food industry for several years that the fish came pre bartered out the freezer, such a shame.

   My gut feeling as the food arrived was I had ended up at Iceland. The fish and chips was just budget frozen preformed cod. They left a 7 year old with no food because they totally lost his order. The rest was at best average. If you like your food walk on by this place. If you like Iceland frozen food this will be your dream eatery.

   LODESTAR Café is a perfect place to stop on your walk along Brighton's famous & beautiful promenade. It is perfectly situated half way between Palace pier & the now defunct west pier or if coming from city center or train station just head down too the bottom of West street and just ask anyone for directions to the Tempest pub & LODESTAR CAFE IS NEXT DOOR . GREAT COFFEE AT EXACTLY THE SAME PRICE AS YOU WOULD PAY IN THE TOWN CENTRE (MANY PEOPLE THINK THEY PAY MORE ON THE SEAFRONT BUT NOT TRUE) THEY ALSO HAVE A FOOD MENU THAT OFFERS A RANGE OF Panini's, SANDWICHES, JACKET POTS & THINGS alike FOR LUNCH BUT THE BEST VALUE FOR YOU'RE MONEY IS THE BREAKFAST THEY SERVE ONLY UNTIL MID DAY THOUGH !! LASTLY THE OWNER WEARS THE BEST COFFEE RELATED QUALITY WAISTCOATS & IS A GENUINELY LOVELY MAN
