Lady was friendly with good personal customer service. Pretty poor menu selection tough, given it's advertised as vegetarian I thought there would be vegan as well. Only 1 think on whole menu she could suggest as a sausage sandwich. Also no margarine or vegan butter alternative so had to have mustard. People kept coming in and leaving again as they didn't have stock of sandwich fillings and other stock.

Really enjoyed a veggie breakfast here today. Really nice herby sausages. Good poached eggs. Everything done with care for the customers, even the tea, and lovely friendly welcome. The place was a bit cold but the warm service makes up for that.

This is my favourite café ever! I used to work in the Portslade area and had plenty of time to try all the local cafés on my lunch break before eventually settling here. Steph, the owner is an absolute delight and radiates warmth that is sometime vacant in other cafés. She has a breakfast and lunch menu with sweet and savoury options, including smoothies, cakes, cookies, sandwiches and soups, all of which is reasonably priced. She is very attentive and will ask you questions to make sure your order is absolutely correct and you have it the way YOU like it. My favourite thing on the menu here are the soups which are made with Steph's special homemade touch of course! Not one soup has been a miss for me! There's outdoor and indoor seating available, all appropriately socially distanced. Her helpers and assistants are all fabulous, particularly Ellie who makes the best Cortado! I am leaving Brighton now and will surely miss this place on my lunch breaks but I would definitely recommend a visit to anyone, veggie or not! You won't regret it!

A really great find - just had breakfast here, attracted by the bright, airy look of the place, (with indoor and outdoor seating) and then by the interesting and very reasonably priced menu. My food was perfectly cooked with an impressively personal touch (‘would I like salt and pepper on my eggs?’ - which were all the tastier for it!) and was all piping hot and extremely tasty. Good, real butter on the toast too! Would definitely come again/recommend to others, veggie or (like me) not. Very good.
