Well I can't write a review of the standard of drinks or food because as soon as we walked through the door we were met with huffing and an offensive attitude from the door security lady and then another man came up in an argumentative manner to tell us we had entered through the wrong door. There are 2 doors to the front of the pub. And apparently only one should be used. Of course the other non use door wasn't locked and didn't have an obvious sign that any of our party of 5 saw. The security guard stood there huffing and staring us down. I have to admit I lost my cool, I've never felt so unwelcome in any venue, let alone a Brighton pub. She had the audacity to call me rude. So totally unwelcoming, no wonder it's quiet and had empty tables on the last Saturday before Christmas at 10:30pm. Apparently a sober party of 5 in their middle ages who had just come from a Christmas comedy show at the Dome are clearly trouble makers and our money was not welcome. I'd avoid. Plenty of other welcoming Brighton pubs with open doors. I fully expect the owners to come back with some nonsensical reply to this. Believe who you like! I really don't care. I will never step foot in your pub again through the right or the wrong door.

Nice pub great vibes but my drink tasted really weird, I had a vodka and lemonade and my friend had gin with lemonade, both tasted the same and not nice so I think there might be something wrong with the batch or the lines - no fault to the staff who were very nice!

I stumbled across this gem of a pub in Brighton and couldn't be more impressed. The prices are genuinely some of the best you'll find in the area-great value without compromising on quality. Whether you're after a pint or a cocktail, everything is reasonably priced. What really sets this place apart, though, is the staff. Incredibly friendly, welcoming, and efficient from the moment you walk in. You never feel like you're waiting around, and there's always a warm, relaxed atmosphere. They strike that perfect balance between being professional and making you feel right at home. Highly recommend for a casual drink, a night out with friends, or even just a laidback afternoon. Will definitely be back!

Always been a fan of the hungry horse brand, yep it's cheap and cheerful (most days) and the kids love it... which means the sticky tables and bad decor dont really matter. Love the fact there is no mysiv blaring out akdo, and good old working-class families can chat away without shouting. Food isn't a glorified kids menu, its great for adults too, but plenty of grub that the kids menu, its great for adults too, but plenty of grub that the kids love. Full monty mixed grill, ‘the homerun burger’ and the mushroom and ale pie are always a winner. Kids love the New Yorker and the mac n cheese- and for dessert the mini millionaire brownie and the ultimate big candy mania when they are happy to share with each other. I didn't care- £7 back from a tenner for a large coke. Great value- small one is £4 from most pubs. This pub is no frills but it does exactly what is says on the tin.

Four of us visited here and we had a good lunch. The lasagna was very nice but could have been a bit hotter. The chicken breast was a little on the dry side and the peppercorn sauce was overpriced at £1.49. The three shot dessert was excellent. Do not buy chips from here they were awful! The praline brownie was also excellent. Our waiter, Salvatore was very friendly and helpful. We would return.

This is a really lovely pub, very spacious with lots of character. It has a nice outdoor area, with heated booths. There is often live music here and I have actually played here myself. The beer selection is good and the service has always been good. This is a great place to drink with friends.

Yesterday we, my family and a friend had lunch. Food was midiocre apart from the Gyudon (not eatable). Also, service was not efficient. But we paid not much as it was Eat out to Help out day.

I have visited this Bella regularly with family and with friends, always excellent food and friendly service. Visited last Friday, my guest arrived 10 minutes before me was found a table, no rapport, a menu was then was put on the table, no conversation, no offer of a drink. I then arrived similar treatment, after another 10 minutes no contact whatsoever from staff, we got up and left! I have to say that I did not recognise any of the Staff, which appeared to have all changed since my last visit in August. It's very disappointing, as we have always enjoyed our visits to this Bella, not sure we'll bother to return!

What a great little pub in the midst of chaos of the Brighton lanes. The publican was very helpful and the tucker was good and reasonably priced
