The Star is one of, if not the best pubs in Brighton. Lively conversation and utterly fantastic amd knowledgable bar staff. Always well kept beers which cater for all tastes, even lager drinkers. Whem Asahi shut the Dark Star brewery in Partridge Green the pub took the bold step of cutting it's ties but always has local beers om 3 taps as standard. I live at the other emd of a bus route but drink here mpre than any other pub in Brighton. Great location for transport from all over town.

Lovely pub right next to the station. Cracking beer line up including 7 cask pumps. Staff were tops. Perfect stop off pre/post train journey.

One of the best beer spots in Brighton for me. Excellent selection of Keg beers and very good Cask Ales. The Pub atmosphere is great. You always come in talk with somebody. Very recommendable.

Good selection of cask, craft keg and even a delicious real cider I’d not tried before. We enjoyed the buzz and nice chilled and friend vibe early week. The food was excellent; spicy and very tasty. The lentil fritters were a highlight.

Impeccable. Incredible beer selection. Fair prices and you can adjust beer to glass size based on strength. I was on the fence about food but it comes in from neighbouring Sri Lankan restaurant. Best calamari I’ve ever had! If I had to find a problem. My first pint of cask was under carbed. But a everything off keg was incredible. Staff recommended some other bars to visit too. Dog friendly by the way.

Excellent choice of very well kept cask and keg beer (probably cider too, just didn't try it) served by welcoming and informative staff. Not totally convinced by the food, it was pretty tasty but significantly spicier than suggested by the menu - fritters highly recommended!
