Sorcha delivered a great glass of water! The water to ice ratio was the best that’s ever passed my lips! 10/10 can recommend post line dance! Atmosphere was super gorgeous and nothing was too much!

The burger tasted nice, fries were ok, and I really liked the bangers and mash (even though the mash on its own was a tiny bit dry), that’s why only 4 stars. The service was great and everyone was super friendly and polite, the food came quick and hot. The pub itself had a really nice vibe, lovely lighting, comfortable seats, but I gave it only 4 stars because the music was VERY loud and it’s a bit difficult to eat during a Friday night because it gets cramped but still really good overall.

Nice stripped back, contemporary pub with a good range of beers and food. It's a great place to watch the wave of people flowing through the North Laine

This pub is the perfect spot for a bite and a drink when shopping in the Lanes. I have visited several times and it always has an excellent selection of beers on tap and traditional pub fare at reasonable prices. The William the Fourth has a really pleasant atmosphere with a groovy bar area and plenty of cosy corners to choose from. There is also a small outdoor seating area out back. The Sunday roast was great value for money but had room for improvement - the vegetables were a bit lacklustre and watery, about half of my partner’s roast beef was fatty/chewy, and while the roast potatoes were tasty, they could have done with a bit more crunch. That being said, the yorkshire pudding, red cabbage, beetroot and pork belly were excellent. I highly recommend the child’s roast portion if you’re not feeling too hungry - it’s a steal for £8.95! My friends were very happy with their nachos and fish & chips - I think classic pub grub is the way to go here. I would definitely come back to soak up the buzz of the Lanes with a cold pint or a weekday meal, but would possibly look elsewhere for a Sunday Roast. We really are spoilt for choice in Brighton! ✨

The William the Fourth pub is a charming spot for a delicious meal. Our group enjoyed a feast of juicy burgers piled high with toppings, crispy chicken wings bursting with flavor, and chips cooked to perfection. But the food wasn't the only highlight of our visit. The pub itself has a warm and inviting atmosphere, with cozy corners and a welcoming vibe. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our meal. And as a bonus, they even have Blue Moon on tap! It's the perfect place to relax with friends or family over some great food and drinks.

Excellent food and really friendly service. We had a lovely boozy lunch at William the Fourth, the pulled pork burger and chips was really nice, perfectly seasoned, and a decent portion as well. We opted to have the black pepper mayo which was a nice addition to the dish

Great Sunday roast. Been twice lately. Both good tasty experiences. Beer is not cheap here but plenty of choice. Very attentive and friendly helpful staff. Perfect location for visiting town. Will come yet again.

Walked in here today no booking and had a brilliant pork belly Sunday roast. Outside table with awning cover which they whipped out when it started to rain. Super friendly staff, offered my dog a bowl of water. Loved it.

One of, if not, the best pub roasts I’ve had. Was worth the wait and had the cutest garden out the back!

Absolutely bang on! Come in for some late lunch and had probably one of the best burgers in my life, photo should do that justice! Staff were really welcoming and accommodating and just overall lovely! We watched one of the staff members go out of her way to help and look after an elderly couple which was really lovely to see. Would recommend this lovely, lively little pub to anyone!
