Fantastic pub, staff and food. We were a group of 7, super accommodating and friendly staff - we had a roast and it was excellent , sides were also delicious. Only regret is we had no room for desserts which sounded filthy. What a gem of a pub, will be back for another Sunday and to try the tapas.
Great service. Pub has a nice feel with multiple dart boards and a pool table. Also a garden out back. Roast dinner was delicious I had the lamb shoulder.
Went above and beyond to cater for us! Food was amazing and so welcoming to our three little sausage dogs! Highly recommend a visit! Super friendly and definitely be coming back again! Garden area is a super sun trap! Thankyou so much!

Lovely cosy pub, very nice tidy garden area, friendly staff, super helpful told us all edits to the menu for that day when taking our order. Had the lamb shoulder roast, was very very good, great flavours, good gravy, extra sauces and gravy bought out absolutely zero fuss upon request, will definitely return for the adult roast. My only tiny note would be that £8 per bowl of tomato pasta for kids does seem a bit steep to me personally, would not stop me coming back at all, im actually looking forward to coming back again for a roast and I genuinely 100% plan to do so, but £21 for 2 bowls of pasta and 2 fruit shoots just seemed a bit lumpy to me Pasta pointer aside, honestly great afternoon, lovely tasty food, fast service, nice garden, free pool, will be recommending.
Great experience, homely environment and great tall staff member, really hard worker doesn’t disappoint. Howard and Martha gun two of my favourite pub couldn’t have any complaints will be returning
Came with the family for Sunday lunch. We had a warm welcome, good music and a relaxed vibe. Kids went straight to the games with dobble and chess on the go, not a moment of boredom. The food ... wow, it was unreal! The perfect roast was had by all. Sizes are generous and it was cooked to perfection. Mr fussy was also catered for and the roast was adjusted to his taste. Would definitely recommend!
Nice little find this pub. Cosy interior, friendly staff, great selection of beers and most strikingly the food was delicious. Pool tables downstairs too which is always a plus in pubs

New owner, new name. Now called The Howard. Nicely decorated, with friendly staff. The menu is a bit disappointing though. Not great for vegetarians. More burgers (sigh) and SE Asian fusion snacks that you can get in sooooooo many places in Brighton already.
