Impromptu Sunday lunch for five (including 3 small children) was accommodated with a warm welcome. Being vegetarian, the food options are often pretty compromised and underwhelming. However, the food was all excellent (fantastic veggie roast and miso aubergine starter) and what made it even better were the attentive, generous and charming staff. Clearly the kitchen staff know what they’re doing because we had five different dishes and all of them were excellent and we had the kids fighting over the food! Would highly recommend.

It was our first time going and three of us walked at 12:15 last Sunday thinking no problem for a table. Very happy and grateful that we were offered the last one. The service was superb. Ambience was cozy and lovely. Being a Coeliac I asked about food and everything seemed to be watched for and all were very aware. Food was fab. Yum Thank you so much for a wonderful meal. We will be back. ❤️

Stopped off here for a quick drink while doing a river walk. Staff were very pleasant and prices were reasonable. There is a very nice beer garden for patrons use. They do offer food, but did not try it this time. The toilets were well maintained.

Had a fabulous Sunday (Mother's day) roast. I'm wheat intolerant and I had an abundance of choices of gluten free options. The food was delicious and the staff were very caring and attentive. Highly reccomend a visit for the cosy atmosphere and delicious food!

Had a lovely lunch here. It has been improved a lot and is less cramped inside now. The food was very generous and at a great price I felt

Small but cozy pub. The staff is mainly friendly and bubbly. The food tastes Great, specially their Sunday roast. Their pasta portions is well larger than the average (serves 2 if you order some nibbles), but still tastes good. If you want a table inside, it’s better to book in advance. Specially for the table next to the log fire place. Having a pint when watching the sunset over the river it’s also great from there, despite there is a main road (A283) in front of the pub. There is also a garden on the back with some wooden tables/chairs. There is also road side parking on the back Not the best wheelchair accessibility.
