   My white shoes developed a brown stain from the glue used in production after a few weeks if use. When I returned them the store manager was rude and dismissive. The matter is now with PVH/Tommy Hilfiger.

   Very disappointed with customer care. Think carefully before buying from this shop. I think online would have been a better experience! I purchased an expensive pair of school shoes when I was told they will wear well and to bring them back if I had any issues. After no more than a total of 4 weeks of wearing shoes for no more than 110 hours the shoes were falling apart, they were not fit purpose and on asking for her to look at them, I was told it’s how he walked in them? I was then patronised by this said manager when she told me the shoe care product that I was also sold and not used would not help repair the shoes as it just helps blemishes. I was not only dismayed by her lack of understanding of my point but insulted to think that the over priced shoe care product would repair a broken shoe and as I explained the product wasn’t used as the shoe was falling apart. No attempt was made for an exchange of the shoes, refund I was just rudely dismissed.

   Popped in and asked the bored and disinterested-looking staff whether they had in stock any black toecap Oxfords, to which the response was: "Oxfords? They're a type of brogue, aren't they?". I was so shocked that my monocle almost fell out. Surely one ought to have a basic grasp of footwear styles if one is working in Soletrader?

   Good shop, staff constantly on your back, need to relax a little and let one team member deal with each customer, I had 4 different staff members approach me several times each. Looked very desperate.

   Sole Trader in Chantry Place, Norwich is a lovely friendly place to go get quality boots. Wasn’t too sure which were best suited for rainy bus stop wear but Katie the young lady assistant was very helpful and patient as admittedly i’m on the fussy side and they had to fit just right. Lovely to get such smiley, happy, helpful service, you are a credit to the shop. Thank you.
