Served by Clair. Wow what an outgoing person. She was so helpful. We arrived 6 mins before food cut off time she spoke to the chef Athene and she agreed no qualms to make us food, food was second to none. Would highly recommend visiting.

Food was excellent and well prepared. Staff were great and very accommodating. This is a traditional pub which is reflected in the menu. There is a good selection of drinks available. Other patrons were welcoming so you don't feel that you are an outsider if you are not a regular at the establishment.

Have eaten here a few times and the food has always been top class with service to match. A good choice of drinks from real ales and world lagers to wines and spirits. A special mention to a drink we found here called Shankys Whip. It’s delicious and very moreish. The staff are very friendly and make everyone feel welcome and as for the locals they are always laughing and joking and will make everyone feel welcome with a cheery hello. Perfect place for private functions. We had our daughters 21st here. Nothing was too much trouble with an excellent buffet that we all enjoyed. Will no doubt have another party here in the future.

The pub itself is good. Goodish range of drinks but the staff are not very helpful. Which leaves a taste in your mouth.
