Grim take away, staff did not wash their hands between touching their phones and handling money to then serving food, no hair nets, outside coats on, too busy taking telephone orders and I had to give my order to three different people.
Nasty customer service and also missing rice from order. Paying nearly £50 I won’t be returning
Great priced food, tasted great..beware though sweet and sour chicken is not the balls usually bought, but was nice all the same...free crackers too ..will use more often. Update , unfortunately they now seem to be expensive, recently ordered spring rolls ( large) only got one, not two( there was a bag of small ones, I don't want, or like) After spending £40, you would expect some freebies(most chinese give prawn crackers) Overall the food is very good , but a free carton of chicken wings, doesn't cut it!! Sorry, I will try somewhere else, next time
Ordered food for collection on new years eve and the food was amazing. Taste was above anything we had ordered from other restaurants. My only minor comment is portion size, these were a little smaller than other restaurants but this would not stop me returning. We also received free spring rolls which was nice, however my preference would have been free prawn crackers. Overall great food and excellent service.
We were religious orderers when they were New Pearl house and they were honestly faultless. We’ve ordered tonight and received food that is nothing like the usual quality. The salt and chilli chips were in a weird sauce (they’re meant to be dry?), the tofu had changed and was much less of it and the vegetarian hot and sour soup had huge lumps of chicken in. They did eventually fix it and send a new one, but I was worried at that point and didn’t want to risk eating meat. Such a shame, the overall quality is now below average, so unfortunately will be looking for our new regular to order from.
Had chicken fried rice - was good , chicken ball and sweet and sour saur - excellent, sweet and sour chicken hong kong style - delicious and beef chow mean- lovely - will be back !!
Chow Mein virtually tasteless and Fried rice had zero flavour or seasoning.. Beef in ginger and spring onion was more onions than anything and the sauce was so watered down with big slices of discoloured ginger.. probably the worst Chinese takeaway we’ve ever experienced.. Prawn toast was ok..
The food is delicious and fresh as always, and the wait times are not excessive, allowing for a smooth flow of customers through the restaurant. If you enjoy eating noodles, I highly recommend this restaurant.
So a few positives, I love that delivery is quick and the food is piping hot. I like that they always take note of the special comments . The only reason I have given 4 out of 5 stars is because the amount of salt in the food is enough to sink a ship! I ate this food over 4 hours ago and have drank 4 pints of water, I still feel dehydrated. My mouth feels like I have been doing salt water swishes that long all I can still taste is salt. My advise would be to really cut down on the salt , one it’s bad for your health , that being said if you’re having take out then that’s a given but there is adding salt and then adding that much that there is no taste to the food because if is so overpowering. Your food I imagine is very tasty without all of that unnecessary salt so please cut it down and stop ruining it. If you can cut it by 50% we will order from you again because everything else is great but in the interim I will protect my heart .
