   We dealt with gentlemen called Craig. Very efficient, brilliant service and explained all our options and got it to us a day earlier then expected! Our fridge freezer broke and therefore wanted to add to our existing rental account and it was all dealt with in under 10 mins! Highly recommend

   I purchased a built-in cooker hood and had it installed yesterday. The installers gave an eta text the day before delivery and then another 30 minutes before their arrival. The installation was done skilfully and efficiently and were both polite and friendly. All in all a good experience !

   Rude and unhelpful, don't waste your time. I went into branch to collect a DPD parcel and was met with a rude, unhelpful man who was reluctant to look for my parcel. He made me feel unwelcome and uncomfortable in the store. When I told him that I spoke to a lady at Hughes who said my my parcel was in store he said 'We don't employ women' in a dismissive way as if to imply I was stupid or lying. Once I managed to convince him to actually look for my parcel he silently and begrudgingly shoved it in to my hands. I was delighted to be able to leave.

   Great choice of TVs. Very knowledgeable and helpful staff. One TV that was delivered by an outside courier has a cracked screen. Hughes dealt with this quickly and efficiently and gave us another that was in stock. Very impressed with their service.

   Ordered a vacuum cleaner online for collection. My wife went to pick it up, armed with the email confirmation, details of the credit card used to pay etc. The (very pleasant) guy on the counter wanted photo ID, and had to refer all my wife’s questions to someone in the back room. They wouldn’t release it and we had to wait until I could make a special journey at the weekend. My complaint.....would have been nice if the back room manager had the courtesy to deal with the problem himself rather than avoiding a difficult situation, and he a could have made a sensible (managerial) decision and released the vacuum cleaner. Tried to support a local shop but it would have been quicker, easier and cheaper to have bought it from an online company. Surely someone can sort this out? Other retailers seem to manage.
