We stayed here for the weekend and we were impressed with the place. Good base for all amenities. Staff were friendly and helpful, the locals are welcoming and friendly.. lovely little market town. Would stay again.
Came down from Leeds to visit family in Neath to celebrate my 40th birthday. Very clean and comfortable rooms and friendly staff. Will definitely stay at The Ives again! Just sorry we never had the chance to have a drink in the bar as we were on the go the whole weekend. My only suggestion for the rooms would be some coat hooks in the room and towel hooks in the bathroom.
Dog friendly and very relaxed. The staff were very welcoming, and friendly. There was a great atmosphere within the pub itself, we had a great couple of nights. We would recommend staying here, I can understand it is not everyone’s cup of tea due to the nightlife, but we had a great time. Our room was lean, the shower was amazing, great to ease those aches and pains. Clean and fresh towels and bedding. Although they had a couple of staff not turn in for work, it was not noticeable. We enjoyed our food on both nights and got a good nights sleep on both nights. Thank you for making us feel welcome. We would use again if ever in the area. X
Stunning food, had Sunday lunch a couple of weeks ago and the gammon yesterday. No complaints.
Myself and my 13 year old sister had a fabulous night's stay here. We just wanted a base to stay with our dog before we did the 4 Falls Trail the next day. We paid £65 for the room, we got a double and a single, tea, coffee etc and TV, in my opinion it was fantastic value for money! The service was great, the pub itself was rammed due to the rugby and although loud it didn't bother us one bit. The lady who showed us to our room was brilliant, she even walked down the road to show us where we could park overnight for free. It was a perfect stay for us and we will certainly be returning when we come back to Wales for more adventures. Thank you The Ives!
The Ives, good place to eat really cosy and nice- staff friendly and really helpful. In Wales for a business trip, was hungry find great place to eat. Good menu selection and clean place with reasonable prices (menu attached)
Great place to eat and relax. Live Music regularly. New chef really good. Gail and staff always willing to please.
stayed one night while working in the area, nice clean room, shower good, had a meal in the bar also very good. Staff friendly and very helpful, would stay again if in the area.
