First time I've been back to this pub in 25yrs. Used to serve at the RAF station. How the pub has changed in that time. We came for an evening meal where the staff were excellent, the food as good and the atmosphere buzzing. We knew we were in for a good meal because the car park was packed with other customers. I can recommend this pub for good food at a reasonable cost.

We were looking for somewhere and hadn't booked. Found this on the map. What a winner. I have a dairy allergy and they took it so seriously. They knew the menu inside and out. The location is stunning and would be lovely on a summer day. The food was enormous. Plentiful. Six in our group. 2 x sausage and mash. The only small complaint was the veg being a little too under cooked 1 x double house burger - handmade patty and my son loved it. 1 x kids chicken nuggets. I will say these looked lovely but for my fussy eater too much batter 1 x ricotta stuffed chicken breast. Again looked amazing 1 x vegan halloumi burger 1 x side of onion rings. All bar one couldnt finish the food. We did ask for the desert menu to be nosey but the staff forgot to bring. So we took it as a sign that was enough for us. Full belly's and happy kids. Its worth a visit

The location is lovely...right by the river. It was fairly quiet as we stayed in October. Parking was fine for this time of year. In first impression the room was nice, but unfortunately the toilet wasn't clean or had been used by someone...! Housekeeping definitely let the side down. There was also a sticky mark of something on the bedside table...not sure what that was...! Our room overlooked the car park and there was a door banging constantly...presumably the main door to the pub. This went on throughout the time the pub was open... Breakfast the next morning was good. We were not sure if cereals/cooked breakfast was an either/or choice but was ok as the cooked breakfast was filling enough...! We tried the Rising Sun but probably won't stay there again.

Visited The Rising Sun for a late lunch. The car park was full but we found space on the road and chose to sit outside on a lovely afternoon. Service was friendly and quickβdrinks arrived fast, and despite it being busy, our food came out promptly. The scampi and chips and baked haddock fish cakes were hot, tasty, and very generous in portion (so many chips I had to help my friend finish!). Staff were attentive without being intrusive. We left full and happyβdefinitely a spot worth visiting were you can watch life on the river or chill out to people & dog watch.

Exceptional service, staff were absolutely brilliant! Food was delicious. Mains and dessert were thoroughly enjoyable for all 7 of us. Perfect experience. Thank you for a fantastic Sunday. Had 2 babies with us, and were accommodated very comfortably. Will definitely return!

Nice dog friendly Riverside pub. Plenty of outdoor seating. The service was fast all staff were approachable, helpful and willing to talk. The food we had was well cooked with plenty of flavour. The only downside is the community carpark which does get full very quickly. Apart from the parking I highly recommend this Riverside Pub.

What can we say I would highly recommend a stay here the room was huge spotlessly clean and a view of the river. We had an evening meal and was lovely. Breakfast was huge sorry but it beat both of us. The staff were brilliant couldn't fault them at all. Only one negative was check out which was 10oclock we were still having breakfast however the staff said it was OK they would do our room last. So very helpful thank you We will definitely be returning whether to stay or just for a meal

Great meal and lovely view of the slow flowing river next to the pub. We managed to book a table for an early sitting after being out on the broads on our inflatable canoe. Combining physical activity and food is always a good idea as one feels exceptionally hungry for a feast and it was! The hot wings though were not up to scratch as the sauce provided was quite vinegary and not home made; it would have probably tasted better with a Thai sweet chili sauce instead.
