What a find. Great food, great coffee, and fabulous, warm service. It's a small place, but you feel like you're on holiday somehow, and taken care of by your favourite people. We go for toast and scrambled eggs, which are not always easy to find properly cooked!Highly recommend!
Shoreline is a gorgeous and welcoming cafe. I had a smoothie and a veg sando today and it was delicious, a generous portion and kept me going most of the day. We sat outside in the sunshine and had a wonderful morning. The staff were attentive and chatty. Love this place!!!
We recently visited this cafe, and unfortunately, the experience left much to be desired. From the outset, the atmosphere was rather unwelcoming. The food itself was mediocre, with limited options available. While we were looking at the menu, my son picked up a juice, and almost immediately, one of the staff members insisted (rather abruptly) that we pay for it straight away, which felt unnecessarily forceful. Later, after our meal, my son expressed interest in having a dessert. We were looking at what was available when I picked up a plate to look more closely at some cookies, at which point a staff member sharply told me, "Don't touch her food," in a tone that was both rude and entirely inappropriate. This interaction was not only uncalled for but deeply upsetting, particularly as it took place in front of my son. Having lived in Brighton & Hove for over 12 years, I can confidently say I have never encountered such discourteous behaviour in a hospitality setting. It was a thoroughly disappointing experience, and I would urge others to consider whether they wish to support a venue where basic manners and customer service appear to be lacking.
Our favourite local spot! We regularly pop in for brunch/lunch and sweet treats which are always delicious and use fresh, quality ingredients. Great coffee to enjoy inside or outside in the sunshine, and we love picking up a good bottle of wine and local produce from the shop next to the café. We absolutely love the variety of evening events they put on as well. The team are always friendly and smiling and are so passionate about what they do for their local community. Can't recommend Shoreline enough :)
DO NOT OVERLOOK THIS PLACE. Amazing food, notably not a cafe, but a real kitchen. It's all in the attention to detail - try the Shoreline Scramble, it's not just eggs, it's the house pickle, the pesto oil. Try 'Tin to table' - you must. Not to mention great coffee and cakes and personal service.
What a fantastic discovery. Was cycling by on Kingsway just after the petrol station and this shop got my eye so I stopped and went to take a look. The owner Louise was so lovely and showed me all the amazing organic products stocked and their wine selection. Louise also recommended a recipy with cannelloni beans and cavolo nero. I was so surprised by the prices too.usually organic shops are mad expensive but this one was so fairly priced considering the cost of running a small shops nowadays!!Will certainly be back!!!
The proprietors and staff are so welcoming and friendly . They go out of their way to make every visit a pleasant and positive experience . The quality of the food is fabulous esp the fresh fruit and veg and I personally appreciate the great vegan choices . Oh and the sourghdough - delicious
Lovely shop! I got some great wine there, and various fresh food items. Had a nice chat with the new owner too. Will be back!
Amazing customer service....great selection of wines and craft beers along with fresh bread, fruit and veg! A definite one stop shop for health foods and all the naughty but nice extras!
Amazing selection of wines and beers. Red wine I've tried from Love Wholefoods is top draw. Great craft beers too!! I've not tried the food yet but noticed a great selection of chocolates.
