Not just a HAPPY planet - this is a JOYOUS planet- not merely a PLANET but a UNIVERSE of earthly delights! They should call it JOYOUS UNIVERSE! Often nip out and stay in happy planet for a bit, to browse, chat- and sometimes to rest and gather my thoughts. It always closes at some point but if I could I would opt to sleep in happy planet rather than with my family- Both a food bank and a shelter! If ever processing life, grief or love- I would highly recommend the happy planet freezers while nibbling on some Apple Turnovers or a Marble Half-moon Cake to sooth irritable bowel movements 10/10
Happy Planet is our first choice local shop for the whole family (adults needing groceries and alcohol and kids needing sweets). They have a really amazing range there. I can almost always find what I want there when I need to run out for something and during lockdown the place was a godsend for many essentials when the supermarkets were bare. Depending on who is on the till, it’s often also a genuinely happy place to shop too.
Great local convenience store. Not perfect but with community support can survive and improve.
I called in here my first visit, I did find this shop pretty expensive though. One pint of milk 69p, I bought a can of chick peas and they were £1.29 again expensive. The person on the till was very pleasant but too dear for me.
