This hotel is a complete scam. I checked in around 9pm, and a girl at reception gave me the key. They advertise “separate washroom,” but in reality I had to go outside and use one that was four doors away. The washroom itself was unbelievably tiny with no ventilation – impossible to use without feeling trapped. I went back to reception straight away, but there was no one there. I pressed the bell, waited more than 20 minutes, tried calling many times, and still got no response. Their “24/7 front desk” is a total lie. Disgusting service, misleading advertising, and a waste of money. Don’t book this place.

Worst hotel in the world. Smells very bad. Rooms are nothing like shown and are very small in comparison. They refuse to help. Broken beds and dirty atmosphere. PLEASE DO NOT STAY HERE. the whole room is sticky everywhere. The smell made me and my family sick.

Strawberry Hotel in Brighton is very disappointing. There is no personal toilet, the rooms are very small, and the environment feels suffocated. The hotel is just four buildings joined together – this is not a proper hotel. The Google pictures and reviews are totally fake and very different from reality. Not worth the money at all."

I would strongly advise against staying at the Strawberry Hotel. This was an incredibly disappointing and frustrating experience from start to finish. The most significant issue was the misleading booking information. I paid £110 for a two-night stay, only to discover after the payment was processed that I would be using a shared bathroom. This was not mentioned anywhere on the booking page before I paid. When I tried to get a refund, I was told it wasn't possible, which felt dishonest and left me stuck in a situation I did not agree to. The quality of the room and the building itself was equally poor. The entire floor of the hotel is noticeably uneven, which caused several problems. My bed felt like it was falling apart, likely due to the unlevel surface. The room door has a huge gap at the bottom, which meant I could hear every single noise from the hallway—even a whisper. This made it impossible to get any peace or privacy. Furthermore, there was a complete lack of respect for guest privacy and security. Someone walked into my room without knocking while I was inside, which was a shocking and unsettling experience. Additionally, while I was out, someone (presumably a cleaner) entered my room and emptied the trash without my permission. As I had expensive items like a MacBook and iPad with me, this felt like a major security breach and made me feel very uneasy. To make things worse, the staff member at reception asked for my payment card details and wrote them down on a computer around the corner, out of my sight. This is a highly unprofessional and unsafe practice that made me seriously concerned about my financial security. The shared bathroom was another major issue. It was unsanitary and had a very unpleasant smell. On top of all this, the staff member at reception was unprofessional and not at all friendly, which only added to the poor experience. The only positive thing I can say about this hotel is its good location. It is a close walk to the beach and about a 20-minute walk from the train station. However, this single benefit does not nearly make up for all the negative aspects of my stay. Overall, this hotel is not worth the money. The lack of transparency in the booking process, the terrible condition of the room, and a serious disregard for guest privacy made this a stay I deeply regret.

Recently visited here for a weekend away by the beach, nice location for it as it’s right next to the beach but overall wasn’t a great stay. Hard to find parking for it too so had to park like 15 mins away n pay £40 parking for 2 days. The rooms were nothing like in the pictures small and quite dirty. we upgraded our room to have an ensuite, room 24 to be specific. The smell as you walked into the room was disturbing. even worse when you opened the bathroom door. The toilet didn’t flush properly, shower smell disgusting and water was dirty when we turned it on. we didn’t think it worth the price at all. not happy with our stay.

Comfy beds, hen party friendly. Pretty spacious room with pull out bed so slept four. Bathroom was pretty clean and modern. It was a little chilly at night.

After a terrible experience with a different hotel Anders (?) at Strawberry Fields was a lifesaver. Nothing too special there but the hotel and room were clean, comfortable and had enough space. Staff was very accommodating and knowledgeable.

Very very poor service, when we have entered the room there is no AC or not even a fan in the room. Considering how hot it is. Windows are fully jammed we had to call someone to open the window they said we can only open 1 due to child safety. Disgusted with the service received. Smallest bathroom I’ve ever seen in a hotel

The room was comfy and had a lovely view, it was quite peaceful in the hotel even though it was busy and summertime & we did feel safe. However, although I am aware it is going to be pricey in the summer we paid £250 for two nights and it did not feel worth it. The rooms are quite small and the shower in the room wasn’t very convenient as it got quite wet as there’s not much space. The shared bathroom was tiny and needed a little done and cleaned. The b&m itself also definitely needed to be done, the carpets must have been red at some point but they were almost completely brown from dirt… I appreciated everything and it was still a lovely stay just feel we paid too much for it. Right next to the sea though and the people were lovely!!!
