    Popped in whilst killing time in town. With so many shoe stores closing, it was great to see an independent store in a High Street with such a nice display & range of shoes. Most notably though, there was a good range of quality brands (such as Reiner, Remonte Locke) and different styles of shoe that stood out. The range in store seems to cover something for most occasions rather than just giving a large generic range of shoes that are similar. The staff were great, checking in on us whilst looking after other customers. Prices are probably comparable to chain stores for branded items (and were well below RRP for the items we bought), but without the artificial pricing gymnastics that big stores love.

    I bought a lovely pair of Ravel boots today and find the assistants pleasant and helpful when needed but not pushy. I accidentally left a small item behind while organising my shopping bag and they were also helpful with resolving that. Glad the town has a nice shoe shop still with so many shops disappearing.

    I bought a pair of boots the shop assistant did not offer any assistance. Her family came into store and she was busy talking to them. I did say to her not to worry about the box however at no point did she say I would be unable to return them if I didn't take the box. I took the boots and after trying them around the house I decided they weren't what I wanted and the receipt states may return within 30 days. My husband tried to to take the boots back today only to be refused the return due to not having a box. I wasn't told that policy so surely they are at fault not me the consumer?
