Visited slug and lettuce for the first time on Halloween night at aprox 8pm for a few drinks after work with some colleagues. The lady that appeared to be bar manger was unable to recommend and cocktails (2 for 1 were only on for the same type of cocktail) after ordering I asked would they be bough to the table to which the replay was β€œthere’s no table service you must wait” Proceeded to wait 15 minutes for 6 cocktails as she had to keep referring to the cocktail spec sheets (which didn’t taste quite right either) and I had to keep going back and forth taking drinks to my table. Upon ordering the cocktail that comes with popcorn I was not inform that they had ran out of popcorn instead was presented with an empty popcorn basket and told it was just for aesthetics. Prices were also on the pricier side however the atmosphere and decor were lovely. The untrained and rude staff have put me off from retuning again.

We have been to Slug & Lettuce yesterday night for dinner. The ambience was good and the location was well spotted from high street. Ordered Shredded chicken, Prawns in starters and Kastu curry & Smothered chicken with green peas in mains. Taste was good and enjoyed food.

We went for the bottomless brunch yesterday, our server was a young man called Jack who was amazing. Jack explained the menu and how it worked with the bottomless brunch, he was helpful, professional and above all made our first time visit to Slug and Lettuce enjoyable and fun. The food was good value for money and the cocktails just kept coming. All in all an amazing experience and a definite go back to venue.

Update: looks like the owner replied, and then deleted the reply..! See photos! - I wonder what it said. As a fellow business owner, the best feedback you can get are the bad ones. It gives good insight to the parts of the business that needs cleaning up. So by all means, follow up with me and I can help you improve your venue. It has so much potential, it's a lovely building, just gotta put happy and friendly staff in there. Our waiter was lovely, great attitude, and great sense of humour, even when under pressure. Original post: Staff messed up the burger order, and then he rolled his eyes at my partner when she politely reminded him what we had ordered. He gave a bit of attitude saying he'd already brought that out. The customer is always right, be polite. Should have been apologetic, the result would never be worse when apologetic. He uttered "well I'm going to have to swap it out then aren't"... Came back to the table with this disgusting mess. The meat was dry, and tasted like it was cooked over 24 hours ago.

Nice place with good selections of drinks. Ordered a shared platter, but it was quite blend and boring.

The food is okay. I got the veggie items. The halloumi sticks were good. The fries were very thin but not all crispy. I was expecting something a big fancier - slightly thicker, skin on and crispier. They have a large cocktail menu. The cocktails are very expensive but there is a permanent 2 for 1 offer to compensate for this. I added a picture of the banana colada. It tasted good but not much banana flavour.

Had the full English Breakfast, came with 2 Cumberland sausage, 2 rashers of bacon, 2 fried eggs, 2 golden hash browns, button mushrooms, grilled tomatoes, baked beans and toast and tea. Didn’t really like the sausages, rather hard like it was a leftover cooked again… the hash browns tasted and looked as though it was fried in old oil. Tomatoes weren’t so fresh. Overall it was filling but could have been better with quality.
