DO NOT STAY HERE I actually think 1 star is too high for a place like this but as 0 or below is not an option I will have to settle. I am unsure how this place is still in business with its abysmal reviews. We were visiting a friend in Brighton and he booked this hotel for us so we had a shock when we arrived. First of all the service was poor and the receptionist said no more than 2 words to us and we were given room one which was straight next to the very front door. The lock on our room was flimsy and walls thin, the windows were blown out and condensation all over them as well as the fact they wouldn’t close fully and we looked right out onto the street. Secondly the room was very basic, one double bed and a single bed that might as well have been a pop up massage table. A pathetic TV hanging on the wall by a thread of wires, the complementary tea and coffee were just on the windowsill covered in dust. The bathroom was a poor DIY attempt and the silicone had been ripped off and the bathroom door looked like someone smashed through the lock. Finally the whole place was just filthy, the floors were sticky, and the curtains were covered in black mould. The beds were some of the most disguising things I have ever seen in my whole life. Horrific stains all over, what looked like blood, bodily fluids and dirt. The single bed duvet was yellow and vile. The bathroom had mould in the tiles, stained toilet bowl and limescale all over the taps. We booked another hotel and left promptly and addressed our concerns and they were met with no answer to our questions about a refund. This is just a surface level review, I could leave more information and but I will be taking this further as I strongly believe this place should not be in operation. I wouldn’t recommend this foul place to a cockroach.

Last minute booked here for a nice cheap hotel. The building itself is sketchy and not very clean. The stairs were covered In muck and it’s very narrow.our room had a sea view and was spacious but didn’t feel clean. The floor was sticky the bathroom was grim, had a dirty floor and lots of limescale in the shower. The bed was soo uncomfy we literally had no sleep. It was caved in the middle and squeaked every time you moved. Also didn’t have a proper duvet just a strange blanket thing with a thin sheet underneath. There were marks all over the walls as well. Yes it’s cheap but it’s not very good.

Short notice booking and based on the photos we thought the rooms would be okay. We were wrong. We were put onto the top floor which is a lot of stairs to carry a suitcase. The room was small, really small. The bed was alright but it was against a wall so having to climb over my partner to get out of bed. We had the window open and it got really loud outside with traffic and drunken revellers. The bathroom wasn't great, the finishes were really bad. Paint splattered on tiles and again very very small. I'm 6ft3 and had to stoop in the shower. When I turned around I turned the shower off or turned the temperature up boiling. We paid £20 for the parking outside the hotel which was reasonable considering the amount other car parks charged but it was not a parking space. Uneven concrete floor where a wall used to be and very close to the car next to me. As I said previously short notice booking but would not return again. The photos are VERY misleading.

I had a terrible experience at this hotel. The first room I was given was located underground next to the reception — it was extremely small, had no windows, no air conditioning, and smelled absolutely awful. The entire place was filthy, with broken items, dirty bed sheets, and a disgusting toilet. After complaining, we were moved to another room on the second floor, but it was just as filthy and unlivable. I couldn’t even stay the night and had no choice but to leave. To make matters worse, the staff refused to refund our money. I would strongly advise others to avoid this hotel. I have been charged £150 a day.

Sketchy. This is the kind of hotel where you need to look for bed bugs and hidden cameras in the bathroom. They put us in room 1 which is right against reception (which is just a cubby in the wall) and on the ground floor facing the street. Every time someone walked in the hotel or opened the front door, the floor and our bed shook. I have no clue why they thought that front room could fit three people but it was very tight. The mattress was what you would expect from a place this cheap but the pillows were otherworldly. I’m convinced they were filled with concrete that’s how hard and heavy they were. The shower was either decent water pressure but freezing or a trickle of water pressure and boiling hot. The shower curtain was covered in mold at the bottom. Our feet were brown from walking around the room barefoot. Would not visit again.

Rooms are not like on the pictures on the website. In real was worse. Our double room should be designed for one. I felt like in closet. I'm very disappointed. Not to clean. Not recommend.

Love this picturesque little hotel. Not at all what you expect but ultimately far better. It oozes character, has helpful and kind staff and the rooms are compact but beautiful.

I cannot express how disgusting this hotel is!! I don't even know where to start. Welcomed in our room by a massive stain on the carpet which looked like someone had thrown up on the floor. Metal bed was broken, mattress was HEAVILY stained with big brown patches. Not pressure in the shower, shower curtain was not fixed to the wall and fell on my head. Window sill was covered in about 6 months worth of dust. Left as soon as we could to avoid vomiting.

Nice rooms yet quite small but very clean with nice toilets and decent TV beds and bed clothing. Cant hear much when people are in their rooms but you can hear the comings and goings in the hallway which isn't ideal. The young lad on the door was super friendly and helpful this would have been a 3 star review but his nice and cheerful attitude earned a 4th.

This little gem is currently undergoing some refurbishment (which is reflected in the price)but with this in mind our room was great with a fantastic view of the pier. Once the work is finished this hotel could command a higher price. The room was very clean and nicely decorated, the panelling gave it an expensive feel far from your usual chain hotel. The manager was very friendly and approachable, also he was very accommodating to our needs. Would definitely stay again and would really like to see it finished.
