Right in the centre of Brighton and near the sea, this hotel offers good value for money. I love our room (number 4 jacuzzi); which comes with a 4 poster bed and a bath with jacuzzi and LED lights switch. All is as described on their website with the nice touches too (2 chocolate each and 2 cans of soft drinks in the mini fridge). Brighton is a lively place and some neighbours had some kind of party last night which carried on until 11h15pm but they killed the noise after that. (do bring noise canceling earbuds if you re an "early to bed person" or avoid the weekend here if this kind of noise is a no no for you). I particularly love the St James pub next door. Very friendly staff and i met local resident parrot Coconut. He made my day !! All in all, i recommend this place and will stay here again. I ll try another bedroom for fun next time..

Great location and good value for money. We had to phone for check in info as we booked via Expedia so I would recommend booking directly. Check in was fine and we had a drink in the pub beforehand, the bar staff are all fab! The rooms was much nicer than they looked online, clean and tidy. The only feedback is they provide an empty bottle for water and a kettle but due to the shallow sinks, neither of them fit under the tap for filling.

We ended up at Kempfield House Hotel on a whim when our original lodging fell through. The owners and staff were incredibly kind and warm upon our late night, last minute arrival. We were able to secure rooms that were spacious, extremely clean, and updated. Check in and check out were extremely simple as well. I would definitely recommend this stay!

Steer clear if you want to actually stay on Brighton!!!! Booking was confirmed 23rd May, but received a text on 24th June saying that they had cancelled my booking for 5th July due to "overbooking", clearing had a better offer (more nights) so cancelled mine. I replied saying that I was very disappointed, but have had no response from owners. Now I have had to contact Last-minute.com to sort out as they aren't even willing to sort out the refund. This is not the first review about this issue, beware... Absolutely terrible experience.

Nice room although v noisy with a bar behind the property and was in the middle of renovations right outside the room.... Although fab location for Brighton . Very central in Kemptown. Lovely staff in the bar for breakfast next door but reception always illusive. So mixed reviews really. There are so many places you can go for breakfast in Kemptown. Choose that option.

Loved my last minute stay here, location was perfect super central yet was very quiet at night despite this. Check in was easy, I got the number from booking.com and texted my arrival time. The room was so comfortable with lovely finishing touches including chocolates on the pillows, a mini bottle of red wine which I drank while having a bath - wonderful. Would reccomend to friends and family.

If I could give minus point, I would. We got to the hotel at check in time, before we could be let in the room he told us to give him 5 minutes to fix something and off he went with a drill. We later discovered it was the bathroom door that need fixing, but it was not fixed at all! The door would not close nor would it lock. When we call the reception to tell them (we had to call as there was no one at reception despite being 5:30!!) I was shouted at, told that couple don’t care about doors not locking, told that if I didn’t like it I could leave and to find another accommodation! On a Friday evening during Bank Holiday! Absolutely disgusting service, abhorrent people skills. And to top it off: - terrible uncomfortable bed, with mattress dipping in the middle - creaky bed - creaky bathroom door -stained/ruined bedsheets -dirty carpet and dresser/bedside table -screws found on the floor -one of the wall plug not working -blu tac on the bed

What a lovely place to stay, the staff were amazing and super friendly, our room was beautiful, was not what I was expecting so was a nice surprise, had a lovely greeting from their dog biscuit, what a cutie!! Breakfast was so good, there was plenty of choice. Would highly recommend a stay here I would happily stay again. Thank you for the enjoyable stay.

Nice and comfortable room breakfast very nice and plenty to go at . Vicki and Zac are great nothing is too much trouble. Parking can be a bit of a mare to find a spot but we managed . Our room was a little tired but it looks like they are on with refreshing them judging by the stuff being delivered , we would definitely stay there again if we go back to Brighton.
