We've been with Aquanauts for several years now, from parent and baby lessons to 2-1 classes, and our two children have thrived. The teachers are really excellent - they're so knowledgeable but also have such a lovely way with the children (and a lot of patience!). Special shout out to Sarah and Annabel in particular. Highly recommend!

As someone who could swim but lacked confidence, I went to Aquanauts with the goal of building my confidence to swim lengths on my own. With the help of Ben, the fantastic swimming coach, I developed the skills and confidence within two sessions to swim independently. I could barely manage 10 lengths initially, and now, after two months, I can complete over 50 lengths and even participated in an informal triathlon event. Ben always makes our sessions enjoyable and engaging, combining core skills with fitness and a competitive edge. Ben is a legend, and I would recommend him to anyone considering it!

Both our children have swimming lessons at Aquanauts in Hove and we could not recommend it more highly. Both children have made such progress and are having the best time!

My daughter has had 2 terms of swimming lessons with Aquanauts. We chose the school as it had already been recommended but also as we hoped doing smaller group sessions would mean she picked it up quicker and in time for our summer holiday. We went to Majorca last week and after some practice with her uncle in the pool on the first day which was 1.5 m deep she was swimming around with ease. By the next day she was swimming from one side to the other with confidence. I put this down to Aquanuts incredible teachers and cant thank them enough. My daughter needed to practice swimming over distance but the techniques she learnt through her lessons gave her a very strong base to work from. We look forward to seeing her progress next term.

I strongly recommend Aquanauts!! My daughter (5 year old) started classes here around 2 months ago and she was really scared of the water, now swimming has become her favourite class and she gets very excited about her progress. Sarah is an amazing teacher, I could notice my daughter made a great connection with her and she really enjoys her lessons as she is having fun as well!! Thank you

Whilst I can not speak for the quality of lessons from aquanauts, my experience with Rob and the customer service was very poor. I first contacted Rob on the 5th January asking for lessons for my Son from the middle of February as he would have had his 3 sets of vaccinations by then. Rob asked me for my Sons details and said he would put his name on the list to start lessons at the end of February. I contacted Rob again on the 12th February as I had not been given any further details for classes beginning 2 weeks later. I was told he was still enrolling current clients and would know more the next week. I didn't hear from Rob the following week and contacted him again on the 18th February and was asked for details of my Son again and given potential days and times to start. That was the last I heard from Rob and felt the whole process was both frustrating and poor as I was chasing constantly and not contacted when told I would. If there was no space then I should have been told that from the start and should not have to chase for responses. Waiting for Rob resulted in my missing the enrolment times for any other swim schools for that month. I was really looking forward to sending my Son to Aquanauts as it is so convenient to where I live but was simply let down by the customer service.

Such a fantastic swim school for kids! As the lessons are held in small, private endless pools with a maximum of five parents and kids each time, you feel relaxed and can really enjoy the experience and learn. You also feel really looked after and that every child is individually attended to. Thanks Rob for setting up this unique place! ..and thanks Brad for teaching my one year old daughter to swim and putting so much energy into the lessons.

Absolutely superb swimming school with a big, big difference. Lessons are undertaken in a pro-athlete flow tank, whereby you swim against an adjustable current while watched over and coached by your instructor, who also uses video footage and in-tank mirrors to assess the totality of your stroke in order to give you the best possible instruction. Our daughter attended for two years and, to this day, has a set of powerful and elegant strokes that serve her well both when she is having fun and when she competes in triathlon. Highly recommended.

High recommendation from us. Our daughter learns with Chris and it’s worth stretching to 1:2:1 lessons as she has come really far in a short space of time with him. Started with an intensive course and went from there to a regular lesson once a week. Get on the waitlist if necessary! Update: get some verruca socks for the changing rooms. Our daughter has picked up 2 in the space of a couple of weeks. Unavoidable maybe but still makes me cringe and question how often they are thoroughly cleaned (the changing rooms, not her feet).

My 3 yr old daughter hadn't had a single swim lesson until she started about 10 weeks ago at Aquanauts. Today she swam across the pool unaided. She has been learning with another little girl the same age, stage and temperment (the swim school takes great care in suitably matching fellow 'swim-mates') and it has been a hugely positive experience for us both. My older two children started learning before the days of Aquanauts so we spent a lot of time traipsing to crowded lessons, in cold pools, where they spent more time sitting on the side than they did in the water, as eight kids took it in turns to do a length. At Aquanauts the kids learn faster and better. The whole place is modern, clean and comfortable. The pool water is warm, and there are pool side cameras linked up to TV screens in the dry 'waiting room', so you can watch their amazing progress without distracting them and whilst having a coffee. There is no better way to get your kids swimming (for you and them). Great value for money and worth every penny. Thank you Aquanauts!
