Had a lovely lunch today, Ham , two properly cooked eggs, chips and green salad. Two cold drinks and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Plenty of room to sit and eat and not squashed in as in some places. Quiet ambience and friendly staff. Will definitely return and recommend to friends and family.
I ordered fish and chips today, chef left cooked food for several minutes under light's without pressing his buzzer to inform me my meal was ready. When I was buzzed, I refused the food as I paid for freshly cooked meal, the chef was both rude and arrogant. The meal he then personally served me, battered fish over cooked, I am diabetic and had no choice at that point but to eat as delay caused my sugar level to drop. I was offered and received a cup of tea from young lady taking food orders, much appreciated. Disappointing experience, not Waite & Rose high standard or quality. Disgusted with chefs approach and apauling manners.
Within the Waitrose Rushden store offering a good range of sandwiches,cakes,drinks and hot food-which is top quality-which changes throughout the day. Regrettably things seemed rather chaotic,disorganised and unconnected- some staff seemed clueless when ordering then once paid you have to collect and wait for your drink down the end-then once seated ,you have to go back to a “hatch “ to collect your hot food - have rarely encountered such disorganised service. The interior is pleasant and comfortable and if not too busy comes across somewhat peaceful. Would have thought things can be reorganised to offer a smoother experience.
Food not good. It was warm not hot. Not enough staff behind counter. Very slow. Not staffs fault.

Quite a varied selection of things to eat, nice coffee and plenty of tables to sit at.
Service was very good, a smile, quick service, coffee and snack good, price on par with its competitors, a little more space would be good, however in the space, not feasible.
This is a very pleasant place to stop for a cup of tea, grab a slice of cake or a cheese scone, or even have a hot meal. I am just digesting a very nice traditional breakfast. Perfectly poached eggs, salty bacon and good sausages with beans, fresh tomato and a big field mushroom. Toast and butter on the side. The service is good and even though it is fairly busy here for a Thursday morning (about 50%) it is quiet, laid back and relaxing. There is plenty of space and light comes in through large windows. It’s airy and fresh. It’s self service, but the man behind the counter brought my plates to the table because they were rather hot. The till staff are friendly and welcoming.
