   Terrible customer service at TK Maxx Crewe. There were 4 members of staff at the tills chatting and tidying up - while I stood for over 5 minutes waiting. All they needed to do was acknowledge I was there and say they would be with me in a minute but they just didn't care. Unbelievably rude. I was really upset. One day after this review TKMaxx have now said they will make sure staff are trained. No amount of training will help when staff literally couldn't care less. One last thing - since I wrote my review about the absolutely terrible, abysmal, rude customer service (or lack of) at Crewe TKMaxx yesterday, lots of reviews have popped up on Trust Pilot about how wonderful the service is at TKMaxx. None of these reviews mention a particular store. I don't believe these are real and you sadly must be paying someone to write positive reviews so you can bury all the bad ones. It's a shame as TKMaxx has some nice products - but just don't shop there. Go to a shop where the staff actually care. Actually, I don't mind if the staff don't care as long as they don't make customers feel so bad and so ignored that they actually cry when they leave the store.

   TKMaxx is the weirdest shop I have ever been in. Lots of variety and some items you won't find anywhere else. Prices are also weird, as you get some really cheap items that you would expect to be more expensive but on the other side of the coin an awful load of really expensive tat. It's worth a look every couple of months or so purely because of the turnover of stock. I will be particularly interested in visiting during a "sales" event. I should probably declare that my interest is only around home and garden and not their clothes which I could see has a weirdness all of its own, especially their shoes.

   This is one of those shops where you have a reason to go. For me, it is coffee syrups. £4.99 for 1L of any flavour. Can't get that price anywhere else. Also I'll always look around the toys as they are always reduced and let be honest kids grow out of everything in 2 weeks. At these prices I can give to charity and buy another!

   There's is actually no way that you go out of this shop with empty hands. I think that "home sense" section is just incredible. So many beautiful bits and bobs. My favourite cook books. Always at least one is very interesting. Flower pots are better than anywhere else. The same as tableware and utensils. From plastic spatula to crystal carafe, everything always in great shape and quality. Can't imagine being there less than once a week.

   I'm not a big shopper and I sometimes find the mixture of "stuff" at TK Maxx overwhelming. The Crewe store is a pretty standard example of what they have to offer. I'm sure you can find some bargains in what is offered as long as you are happy to root through stuff. Staff are always friendly in this store in my experience so that's what mainly earns the stars for me.
