   One of my favourite pubs in Bedford. The beers always taste fresh and there's a solid rotation of cask ales. The ability to order a pizza from Santaniellos (Arguably the best pizza place in Bedford) is a just another string to the bow of a very well established pub. The service is always fantastic, the manager is a darling, and the patrons are friendly.

   Have stayed here a few times now as our business is based on the outskirts of Bedford and it's great - great selection of beers, next door to a great Italian restaurant. Secure parking and lovely rooms. No breakfast but doesn't cause a problem. Great owner/staff. Will always try here first port of call.

   I recently visited The Castle with some friends on a Sunday, and what a lovely surprise it was. The place is small and cosy, with a really charming garden that makes it feel extra special. They have a very good selection of beers, and the whole atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, exactly what you want for a proper pub outing. Unfortunately, since it was Sunday, I didn’t get the chance to try the food this time, but everything else was so enjoyable that I’ll definitely be coming back to taste it soon. We had a great time and left with a smile. A gem worth revisiting!

   This is a really sweet traditional pub with friendly staff and brilliant decor. There’s a range of seating options including some nice window booths and a small garden area. Prices aren’t the cheapest but there’s a good range and it’s nice to see food options from a couple of the local restaurants. I’d happily return here for a relaxing drink and I’d recommend!

   Great town centre pub and fabulous real ales. Last weekend, for example, they had three of my favorites, Black Sheep, London . Timothy Taylors landlord plus a couple of others. What's not to like?
