Sadly it wasnβt the best experience, we booked for a family birthday meal for 7. After being shown to our table and ordering the meals arrived, one had to be sent back steak overcooked, also gammon steak on another plate was charred black at the end. We ordered desserts which took 30mins to arrive making us late for other planned events that day. We understand youβre busy at Christmas but must do better.

We last came a few years ago and it was horrendous. This visit couldn't have been more different! Every single member of staff was polite, friendly, helpful, patient and informative. We didn't feel rushed. My elderly Dad was brought a chair when he needed to sit down to finish his drink. My personal highlight was being informed when the people who had ordered carvery should go up, because the rest of the food was coming. The music wasn't too loud, there were clean plates all round - the food was brilliant! The drink and mains discount were the icing on the cake. We love you have a dog friendly section too! There's only one tiny thing I could suggest on improving on, and that's that the glasses for the water opposite the carvery all looked dirty/water marked, but that's being picky. We'll definitely be back, and bringing our rescue dog too! 10/10!

Let down by the poor carvery and cleanliness. I havent been here for a carvery for a good few years so was looking forward to revisiting an old favourite! Unfortunately it was disappointing & I can only echo the same that has been mentioned in other comments. I ordered the regular sized carvery and was served a very small amount of meat- 2 βbitsβ of turkey which looked like scraps, they were not even half slices, it looked like they were trying to ration what they had when they were slicing it they are trying to get it so thin and it doesnβt work. The beef was a better size slice so not sure whatβs going on! The choice of vegetables was scarce and boring: 2 types of carrots! Peas, cauliflower with watery cheese sauce, red cabbage was like liquid and choice of potatoes. Everything was hot though so that was good and probably why I gave it 3 stars. There wasnβt enough cutlery on the table and the same for serviettes. The table edges were sticky, it needed a good clean/ degreasing! Sadly not somewhere I will be rushing back to but maybe good if you have kids or eating out on a budget. It is very easy to order via the app and the drinks came fast so there are some positives and the desserts in the fridge looked delicious, it could be so much better.

Went for a Sunday carvery. Not bad value, staff were friendly and accommodating. Pub was clean and warm. Not sure why Christmas music was being played in the middle of October not why everyone was wearing Christmas jumpers.

Busy on Sunday afternoon but we got table without pre booking. We ordered via app and drinks were delivered fast to the table. Carvery was a bit disappointing... Meat was very thin, gravy was just like brown water. Potato salad was really nice.

Came in this evening with family and had a carvery. There Chef Sammy G was our server at the carvery and he absolutely went above an beyond for my disabled mum on a mobility scooter. He got all her food for her to what she wanted right down to the gravy! He was friendly and very polite. Our waitress Ash was an absolute star with helping with my mum and the lady who took our order was so helpful too. They are all an absolute credit to this establishment. Thank you very much.

Had the carvery. Meat was good, roast potatoes really nice. Gravy good. I don't like boiled vegetables so can't comment on the veg. I did have the peas they were fine. Yorkshire pudding not very nice. For the price about Β£7 for a small plate carvery it was acceptable.

Well, just back from a lunchtime Christmas meal, garlic mushrooms for starter which would've been a "lunch" for me at home, Christmas roast with all the trimmings and a sweet to take home as ---well you know...absolutely gorgeous, they even offer crackling, I mean, bring it on!! Well done all of you, a pub full at lunchtime speaks volumes, atmosphere was lovely

Lovely lunch time carvery today, not overly busy at 12.30, but by 1.15 was fairly full, popular place. Carvery is choice of s/m/l, Β£6.45, Β£8.54, & Β£10.45, mon - sat, another Β£2 on a Sunday, both the turkey & the beef were cooked really well, lovely & tender, lovely home made yorkshires, very big, veg well cooked. They also have a menu as well with a variety of dishes on, but we didn't try anything off it, staff were lovely& friendly, pub was very clean all through, I did have a bit of a shock at Β£5.30 for a pint of hobgoblin though.

Pictured is what they call "the ultimate beef burger" I treated my 11 year old son and although the menu is large, you either pay for an adults meal or one for a smaller child and the prices aren't exactly cheap (not expensive for an adult). My son sacrificed for a smaller child's meal so he could endulge in one of the adult desserts. Staff & facilities where good.
