   I recently stayed at 38 St Giles B&B Hotel, and it was an exceptional boutique experience from beginning to end. This hotel strikes the perfect balance between historic charm, modern comfort, and truly personal service. Breakfast was outstanding — beautifully displayed, freshly prepared, and catered with real attention to dietary requirements. The care taken in presentation and quality made the morning feel calm, refined, and enjoyable. It’s clear the team values fresh produce and thoughtful service. From booking to check-out, the staff were consistently friendly and accommodating. Dani was especially helpful, supporting everything from the initial reservation to parking arrangements. Her welcoming approach set a positive tone that carried through the stay. I stayed in one of the hotel’s premium rooms and was genuinely impressed. The décor is stunning — high-standard Georgian styling, elegantly updated while maintaining the original character. The room was spotless, cosy, beautifully presented, and far exceeded expectations for a boutique property. It felt private, warm, and curated with real intention. The location is excellent: set back from the main street, giving the hotel a peaceful, secluded atmosphere while still being close to the centre. Private parking directly opposite made the stay effortless and added to the convenience. What sets 38 St Giles apart is its atmosphere — personal, boutique, and full of character. It has the charm and intimacy of a small luxury residence, not a chain hotel. Even small details, like being given a traditional room key, added to the sense of independence and comfort. Overall, my stay was absolutely worth it, and I wouldn’t hesitate to return. If you appreciate stylish boutique hotels with history, warmth, and high-quality service, 38 St Giles is an excellent choice for weekend breaks, short stays, or even special occasions. A truly memorable and beautifully run hotel — highly recommended.

   Spent a night at 38 St. Giles for a friends 50th birthday. The lovely Holly couldn't be more accommodating. Communicating with our party of six who were arriving at different times and letting us decorate a room as a surprise. Holly was warm and friendly, making us feel really welcome. The rooms were fab and had everything you need and more! I loved the setting for breakfast, which was absolutely delicious. Wonderful fresh produce and a good choice, and we were looked after perfectly. I'd definitely recommend and would love to stay there again. Great job everyone!

   A lovely bed and breakfast in the centre of Norwich, our room was really nice and the cake was a lovely surprise, my only negative was the amount of time we had to wait for our breakfast, from ordering breakfast to actually getting it was 50 minutes, for a small bed and breakfast this is way to long, also there was only one table of two people who was in front of us, so not really busy, it was a shame as everything else was absolutely lovely

   Absolutely fantastic! Not only are the rooms beautiful and the breakfast delicious, but there are so many little touches that make the place special: afternoon cake, a comfy robe, great toiletries. Everything is well organised and the manager is friendly and attentive. I'll definitely stay there again!

   This is our favourite place to stay in Norwich. We have been coming here for six years and always have a warm welcome from the team. Thank you to Darren, Deima & Patrizia for their thoughtfulness and attention. We stayed in Gurney which was a lovely room and had a wonderfully comfortable bed. We arrived to coffee and home made cakes. Breakfast at 38 St Giles is the best in the UK. We leave several pounds heavier!

   Stayed in the fabulous suite. Comfortable and super luxurious. The huge bed was the most comfortable bed I've ever stayed in in a hotel. Really nice touch with a fresh slice of homemade cake in the room when I arrived. Manager Mark was superb, totally on it. I will definitely be staying here again when I'm back in the area. 5 stars from me ; )

   Had one night here. It is a very old building with characterful rooms. The stairs are quite steep and because of the building's age there is no lift. Consequently if you have any mobility issues make sure you book a room on the ground floor. The rooms are furnished in character with the age of the building. They are clean and the bed was very comfortable. Cakes are provided in the room each afternoon. Describing themselves as a "posh B & B" they only serve breakfast but no evening meal. This is no real impediment as there are several restaurants within easy walking distance. The breakfast room only seats about 15-16 people and as a result you are given a choice of breakfast slots when you can eat. We were offered three, of which the latest was 8am. No chance then of a leisurely lie-in and rolling up for breakfast when ready! We have stayed before and in the past the breakfast has been a highlight. This time they had fallen from their previously high standards and the meal was distinctly ordinary.
