Within days of ringing Barlow's they soon delivered a cooker and fridge and installed them. First class service very good couldn't fault them, would recommend them, really pleased. Angela
Called in on Saturday 3 August in search of à replacement for our dishwasher. The staff were knowledgeable and friendly but more than that, within 3 hours of choosing à new unit it had been delivered, installed and was ready to use. The 2 man installation team were very efficient, showed us how to use it, left everything clean and tidy and took away the old machine. Now that's what I call service!
I had to give 1 star Barrows replaced an automated light switch in the porch doorway of my apartment block today. The switch operates lights on all landings when entering the building to illuminate the whole stairwell. The switch they fitted did work this evening when I came home - briefly - for roughy 30 seconds - certainly not enough time to walk up 2 flights of stairs. If we are carrying luggage, shopping bags etc and walk super slow the light may go out sooner than we need. This happens rarely but even so we have always been able to stop on route and flick one of the other switches located outside the doorways of each individual apartment and carry on up the stairs. Not tonight. I had to ascent the stairs in darkness as none of the switches worked. I then had to fumble for quite some time in the darkness to find my phone to enable me use the light of the phone to be able to see the keyhole of my door lock Secondly when we ‘exit’ our individual apartments we flick the switches outside our individual doorways and the light come on to light the stairwell for us to descend the stairs. These original switches no longer work since yesterday They were not faulty initially just the one in the porch. So it’s a double whammy. We cannot see on the way up and we can’t see on the way down. Thirdly as residents we waited 2 weeks for this switch that apparently had to ordered but in fact they can be picked quite readily from Screwfix over the counter at any time. All I can recommend is that if you need anything more complicated than a light switch fitting - try somewhere else.
I have used Barlow's on several occasions over the years and the service they provide is second to none from the shop staff to the visiting engineers,nothing is to much trouble,well done.highly recommended.
Purchase of TV stand. Went in the shop for a suitable TV stand. The advice was spot on and the help tremendous. Customer service was of the highest standard. Many thanks. By the way it looks good!!
Competitive prices. Helpful and professional staff in store. Delivery and installation staff equally professional and helpful. Washing machine hose wasn't long enough, but they found another and fitted it at no extra charge. Can't fault them and will be going back to buy more appliances.
