   Possibly the worst customer service in the world try sell a phone it was in perfect condition yet they would not take it. Thanks to a weird member of staff with blue hair with lip pirceings looked very scary and hostile, said it was bent when it clearly wasn't it was basically brand new as a unwanted gift. Went in before try buy a game o sorry we can't find it same member of staff again! Very unapproachable, Also bought a gaming wheel I changed my mind on it wanted my money back wouldn't take it within their 24 month warranty period saying it was rattling when they sold it like that. Everytime I go in they are casually chatting amongst each other, ignoring customers physical watched them doing this on multiple occasions, I have been shopping here for over decade spent loads of money of the years. I won't be coming back ever again to sell or to buy! Suggest clean up your act and get some proper training!

   Never never again. I was yesterday to sell my phone it was brand new sealed they made me a offer of 291£ i have accepted it before the phone to be unsealed they sed leave it for checking for 45 min. I sed on i will come tomorrow evening was fine. Today 18/12/25 they changed the price to 260£ saying it was wrong quoted which is not as most shops will pay the same. WILL NEVER USE YOU AGAIN SCAMERS

   Crap company. Crap people. Crap service. Don't buy anything from this company. I don't know if Stoke is where my order is, but there's no actual way to leave reviews for CEX as a whole, no actual way to find out where my order is, and no actual way to follow anything up so I'm picking on my local branch as I have few other options. I placed an order online, and they marked it as "dispatched" but it's still marked as "pending" by the courier. Meaning they haven't bothered to dispatch it, nobody answers their phone lines, the pre-recorded messages tell you to just DM them on social media. And nobody replies to anyone on social media anyway. Which means there is zero service, zero follow-up, and apparently, zero actual order picking going on.

   We was looking for air buds,the girl who served us - she's a star. So friendly,polite, helpful. We been changing our mind what's the best to choose and she always was so helpful walking to find righ buds and then come back couple times.

   I was in hanley earlier today, and thought I would pop in to have a look, as it's a larger store compared to most. This place has had some naughty reviews on their website. I cannot comment on other ppls experiences, but my experience was quite pleasant. The staff were busy pricing up stock, & training a new team member, as I didn't need any assistance, that was fine with me. The only negative that I have, is the pricing of the items! They pay pennies for their stock, then hike the prices up, something rotten. Their dvd section upstairs is vast, yet pricey. The cex store in Wrexham only charges about a third of what hanley is asking. Plus, there are charity shops all over, who charge a quid for 4 DVD'S. My advice, shop around. The xbox 360 games that I initially went to look at, again are priced high, when compared to cash converters in longton, where you can buy any game for between 10pence & £1.99. Again, it pays to shop around. The cex in hanley is spacious, clean & well stocked. Will I shop there? No. Doubt I could afford it.
