A massive thank you to Ray and the fantastic team at Hillier Hill for finally exorcising the mechanical gremlins from my beloved 1980 Rolls Royce Corniche. After several well-meaning but ultimately ineffective interventions by a local mechanic (who tried everything short of waving a magic wand), the Corniche was still running like it had been fuelled with a mixture of turps and ditch water!! So I did what any sensible person would do—I called in the experts. Enter: Hillier Hill. These guys don’t just fix cars, they resurrect them. I got the call on a Wednesday: “We think we’ve cracked it.” By Friday, I was in their workshop discussing the diagnosis and the bill—and watching Ray visibly relive the trauma of working on my car. He muttered the phrase, “The perfect storm,” which I can only assume is mechanic-speak for “Oh dear Lord, what is this thing?!” Turns out my Corniche was suffering from a full-blown cocktail of chaos: a knackered Solex carb, leaky inlet manifold gaskets, mismatched ignition components, and a fuel filter that probably remembers Thatcher’s first term in office. But with a shiny new carb, Petronix ignition system, fresh gaskets, and a fuel filter that isn’t older than my CD collection, the car now runs like an absolute dream. Smoother than a cats ear and quieter than a butler in slippers. In short: if you have a Rolls Royce or Bentley in need of proper TLC (and maybe an exorcism), get it to Hillier Hill. They’re not just professionals—they’re wizards in overalls.

This is a no nonsense operation run by a great guy leading an experienced team of professionals who know their onions. I used them recently to sort a couple of issues on my motor car. I cannot express my satisfaction enough. I have the privilege of driving a 1949 Silver Wraith that is looked after by Hillier Hill and I am confident in driving the vehicle up and down motorways and any distance because I know the technicians are at the top of there trade and care about all the vehicles in there care.
I have used Hillier Hill for more than 25 years they are simply the best. When I sold my recent car the garage were really impressed that everything still worked and that I had 10 years of service with a proper company for the car. It never occurred to me that it wouldn't be working after all I use Hillier Hill. Don't even think about it, they know what they are doing.
Always a first class experience
Having had a disastrous experience importing a Corniche Convertible from the states in 2016 { even though I paid a so called reputable company to inspect the car for me } I was recommended to contact Hillier Hill. After speaking to Ray he arranged to collect the vehicle from my existing garage who had found the required work beyond their expertise. After extensive renovations the car is now fully functional and I have just completed a two week tour of the Spanish and French Basque country with no issues only smiles.
