Fabulous quirky old coffee shop. I had a wonderful hot chocolate. Didn’t eat when I called in but the food I saw coming out to other customers looked delicious

Entered the cafe from the shop and through a small museum. The cafe had a wide choice of teas and coffees with beans freshly ground for a cafetière. Can recommend the tea cakes. The staff are very friendly. Will definitely return. The shop is also worth a visit for fresh meat, cheese and accompaniments.

An unusual place to say the least. I had a cottage pie, that was hotter than lava. It was good enough, bit too much gravy, bit too little mash and mince. But that's just my opinion. Filled a gap. It was OK. Worth a visit for the unusualness of the place.

We love this beautiful old fashioned quirky cafe. There is an amazing choice of freshly made cakes and hot and cold food available. friendly staff fast service and loads of coffees and teas to choice from. It's lovely to see the old fashioned counter from wartime with all the old products on display then there is a butchers, chilled food and lots of unusual and blast from the past foods and sweets to buy.
