We experienced a warm welcome and were given plenty of time to decide what to order. My wife had the steak and stilton pie and I had the mixed grill. Both meals were absolutely delicious and the portion size was very generous, so much so that we couldn't fit in a dessert. The Christmas decorations were on display and they looked really good. We would definitely recommend this little gem of a place.

Greeted by a very friendly owner who immediately made us feel welcome. Everything was explained perfectly. Our motorhome pitch was easy to locate with electric and water easy to connect. Shower and toilet was spotless. We used the pub and ate one of their incredible homemade pies. The pub was very busy and a friendly atmosphere. Thanks very much for letting us stay there. We wouldn’t hesitate to return. Unfortunately I had to watch West Ham get beaten by the owners team on the Camp TV Entertainment. Never mind

Just like to say . We just called on the off chance. And we where welcome like we where locals. By everyone including the locals too. We even got offered a locals driveway. If we couldn't get on the campsite . Wish was amazing nice and clean and modern. We didn't even have a table booked. But the manager got use one . And the food amazing special the homemade pie . And you even get to the steam train in the valley going bye . Thank you so much for making mine and my partners weekend relaxing. Will be back very time we travel your way . Hopefully soon than later . Phil and jo.

Brilliant pub attached to campsite, we stayed on the camsite (seperate review) and visited the pub. Very cosy and welcoming, decor lovely. The food was delicious, homemade the pie was lovely and the chips were handcut and the best we have had, brilliant. We would definately come again.

We stayed nearby and popped in here for a meal. It was busy but luckily we were just in time to place an order, thanks to the helpful staff. Our food was amazing, it didn't disappoint at all, and we were all completely stuffed. Great place, definitely recommend

My new favourite place! Lovely pub, great food, great views, kids play area next to the beer garden & a few animals to keep them entertained...You can camp there too! Highly recommended.

We stayed on site for one night and ate in the pub. Paul, the new owner, has done a cracking job of sprucing the place up and adding extra facilities. The site was gently sloping and we mentioned to Paul that we hadn't bought levelling ramps for our VW. He lent us some that a previous camper had left behind. The food was fantastic and the staff very friendly. Very chatty locals and a log burning fire made for a lovely evening after we finished our meal. Several different beers on tap which pleased my hubbie as he isn't a lager drinker. The site is in a lovely village and the following morning we went for a walk. It was a shame we couldn't stay longer as I would have liked to explored the countryside but that now gives us an excuse to return.
