   Smashing pub with reasonably priced meals, friendly staff, good ale and dog friendly. My wife and I had a sharing platter and an extra portion of chicken strips which was filling and excellent value at just over £20. We shall return next time we are in Buxton.

   This is an absolutely gorgeous but cozy pub. I grabbed some lunch by myself and ordered the Salt and Pepper Chicken. It was an interesting new dish (for me), beautifully seasoned, and wonderfully accompanied by the katsu curry sauce. The food came out in like 8 minutes. The waitress was also very lovely and proactive, keeping the whole place clean and tidy. Definitely a great place to stop at before your adventures!

   Vintage. Old Club House is a great throw back pub right next to the Buxton Opera House. Perfectly situated for visits before or after an event. The atmosphere and decor are both nicely done and feel exceedingly authentic. Food and drinks were both nicely done and I especially liked some of the odd menu items, like goulash. The service was outstanding and friendly even though the place was absolutely hopping with people. I think my favorite thing was the comfy chair and table we had.

   We were in the area on holiday and popped in for a quick lunch while visiting Buxton and we were glad we did. The pub is a beautiful old building with friendly and welcoming staff. The meals also didn't disappoint. The burger was one of the best I have ever eaten. My partner had the beef and ale pie which was also spot on. The best bit though, was that they sell my favourite beer, Blue Moon. We were very glad we popped in, and we will definitely be back if we are in the area again.

   Next to Buxton opera house, nice cosy pub. The food was excellent and for a reasonable price. Would go again. Gets very busy just before a show at the opera House as you would imagine.

   On our week's stay in Buxton, We booked here for a Sunday roast, Asked for a table to watch the football and was given a table on the restaurant side which was perfect, Didn't have to wait long for the food which was lovely, Found the staff very pleasant and would return here again when in the area.

   Busy Greene King pub situated across from Buxton Opera House. Great spot to watch the sport or grab a pre-show drink. Staff are always friendly and the food is well cooked and presented. Use the app to order from your table when the bar gets busy.
