We loved it. So friendly! And the roast really hit the spot.
So apologies upfront for my pictures on this one I was somewhat distracted by the meal itself. So it was recommended that we eat here and to make the extra effort to have their Sunday Roast. Unfortunately we expected the worst when we received the mint sauce which was all a bit washy and thin. Portion size, now this could be challenged but for me it was a small dinner and I fail to see how you could make aspects of this meal any smaller without not serving it. The food was of extremely poor quality and I would suggest that from the shapes of some of the vegetables and my knowledge of a good roast potatoe that most of this mealcame straight from a bag. Needless to say we didn't stay for dessert. Service although the basics were there as in they were initially polite etc we weren't asked how everything was. This might have been because 2 of the 3 plates still had a lot left on them and that said enough, mine will always be empty so I can review properly for you ;) So I never got to thank the guy we met for suggesting here but it will not be my suggestion for you. This is a review of the Sunday Roast only to be super clear but based on other reviews of this I would stay well clear if you like a good one. I also mimic what other a have said about the aging decor and a distict smell of an old property. Very novel Silver Cross/Winnie the Pooh high chair though, it had more straps than a straight jacket!
First time we have been, we only live down the road but have to say really really enjoyed the food and chatting to the owner, she was very friendly and helpful Defo going back to try the Sunday roast

Quiet pub, aimed at walkers, cyclists, campers etc. A bit of a time warp back to the pubs I went into 20+ years ago. Only open on weekends and menu a bit dated but the food was delicious and the welcome of the hosts was warm and friendly.
Good food and drinks place open only at weekend. Lovely couple run thus family friendly English Pub that serves Iranian and English food on Saturdays and a good roast on Sundays. Good spread on menu options. Well worth a visit. Say hello to Margaret.
Excellent food. Excellent service and very good value. Recommend the Lasagne was delicious and Baileys drizzle ice cream to follow, simple but really nice. Excellent menu and some grest specials that are changed weekly. Shame the place is only open Sat and Sunday. Great place to drop in if on a walk around the area.
