   Don't know whos been posting the reviews but I didn't have the same experience. Walked in and got instantly overwhelmed with the smell of damp. Rude hostess, who doesnt know how to speak to customers politley. Thankfully the young staff where well mannered and polite. Food is average and can have better at home. Won't be a returning customer.

   A friendly welcome, lovely and clean, and the food was hot, fresh and tasty. Hubby had liver and onions, one of the best he's ever had. I had chicken in stilton sauce, it was delicious. And prices are very reasonable. Many thanks Wagon and Horses. We'll be back.

   Really, really nice local spot. Very cosy and homely atmosphere, the staff are absolutely lovely. The food is delicious pub grub, and honestly, I’m shocked by how affordable it is. Great selection and pricing of drinks. One of the most enjoyable pub visits I’ve ever had, a true gem.

   Absolutely brilliant New Year's Eve party at the wagon and horses. Our first time there and we received a warm welcome from the staff and the regulars. The food was superb, the atmosphere fantastic. We couldn't have asked for more. We'll definitely come back! The wagon and horses is a hidden gem in Newcastle under Lyme.
