    We had Sunday lunch there today. It was proper pub grub! All home grown veg! Beef was sooo tender. Puddings beautiful too. Hosts were so friendly. Food was so good! I was told their pies are to die for too. Definitely going back again. For 2 cokes, 2 glasses of wine, a lamb dinner, beef dinner & 2 dessert’s. Only £45.50! You couldn’t cook it for this price. Highly recommend Xx

    Stumbled across this pub after taking a detour(lost),I recieved a very friendly welcome in this fine example of a country pub .A plated sunday lunch was on offer and it smelled and looked delicious but I only had time for a pint which was excellent .The pub was very clean and tidy and looked how a country pub should, also has a large car park

    What a find! Do not pass The Red Lion by! Fantastic friendly welcome for the 3 of us, on the way back from Cadbury World. The home cooked food was amazing - gammon dinner, steak and chips and kids omelette. Great conversation and clearly loved by locals and passing folk alike. If/when we are near, we will return without a doubt - Malcolm's 30 year Chicken Madras secret recipe needs to be sampled!
