The Mexican theme night was a great event - great food, great atmosphere and great staff. Thanks to all who made it special, and especially to Claire who was brilliant throughout the evening. We will definitely be back the next time our narrowboat adventures bring us this way!!

Beautiful little pub alongside the lock with plenty of canal boats and a lovely walk further down. The food is also reasonably priced and very tasty such a beautiful spot to stop off and enjoy a pint

Great food, chips were the best bit. Lovely pub. Perhaps the best in Audlem.

We stopped by The Shroppie Fly in Audlem for a Sunday roast and it absolutely delivered! The roast was generous, beautifully plated, and full of flavour. The beef was tender, the Yorkshire pudding was golden and crisp, and the gravy was rich and comforting everything you want from a proper pub roast. The veg was cooked perfectly, and the roasties had that satisfying crunch with a fluffy centre. What made it even better was the setting right by the canal, enjoying a pint of Guinness and a local cider in the sunshine. It felt like the perfect countryside Sunday. Great food, great prices, and a lovely relaxed vibe. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area (and hungry)!

There are so many good options on the menu, one of the best I’ve seen. The Shroppie burger was lovely. My friend had the Cheshire pork sausages, onion gravy and buttery mash which he said was excellent too. Good service all round and friendly staff. A proper canal side pub which is one of the very best along the Shropshire Union Canal.

First time at this pub. A friend was having a special birthday and asked us all to come and have a bite to eat and play some music together. Staff had reserved a part of the bar and around 20 folk supped, ate, sang and played. Food was nice. Had standard and guest beers, plus tea and coffee. Nice number of bar staff on duty so little queuing. Friendly and welcoming. Polite. When busy large car park can fill up. Has clean toilets and pub clean. Seats outside too. They put up with us for 4 hours or so then we had a walk by the canal. Lovely day altogether. Looks like they host an open mic on Friday evening and have live music on weekends. Also hosts folk events. Great community pub.

Very welcoming staff, great atmosphere. Only popped in for a drink, saw the food going past and was amazed. We will book a meal ASAP there. So good to see it reopened again.

Happily we discovered this pub re-opened 3 days ago. The new management are welcoming and friendly, the service was top-rate, the ale and coffee were spot on, and Broadside the aging pub dog is adorable. Yes its dog friendly! We'll be back.
