The store is ok, usually well stocked and clean but since there has been a Starbucks and Greggs built in the car park it has rendered the car park useless! I have to park outside Wickes or the pet store...where the trolleys don't reach so end up carrying all my shopping through the car park, very ungracefully!!! When I can I will avoid coming here for this reason.

Entered the store and a female with an e-scooter was coming out. Once beyond the external doors she immediately mounted the e-scooter and started riding it across the car park. I asked a member of customer service staff why someone with an illegal e-scooter was allowed in the store and she told me, authoritatively, that e-scooters were 'road-legal'! I told her they weren't and asked for the duty manager. He turned up and again told me that e-scooters were 'road legal' below a certain cc! I told him he was wrong and to consult his mobile on the subject, which he did and he then acknowledged that he was wrong (Katy Bourne, as Sussex Police Crime Commissioner, may want to considered whether Sussex residents understand that e-scooters are illegal judging by Tesco's staff response to me. Sussex Police, unlike Kent Police, are doing a poor job of taking these illegal vehicles off the streets of Sussex). Clearly, public safety is not high on Tesco's list of priorities as can be seen from another posting here about the fire doors being locked when a 'fire' occurred in the store - something so egregious I find it difficult to believe, but going on my out-of-body experience at the hands of their staff today, have to assume it to be true. FOR THE RECORD, PRIVATE E-SCOOTERS CANNOT BE USED IN PUBLIC PLACES. IF STOPPED BY THE POLICE RIDERS CAN HAVE THEIR E-SCOOTER SIEZED, BE FINED, AND GET UP TO 6 POINTS ON THEIR DRIVING LICENCE. I would expect Tesco, as the UK's largest supermarket retailer, to be a responsible corporate citizen. It should not be encouraging illegal behaviours by allowing e-scooters on its premises. Tesco clearly needs to educate its staff concerning the use of these vehicles and it also needs to review, urgently, its safety procedures in general. LOCKED FIRE DOORS - WHAT ARE YOU THINKING!

This is a very large store with oodles of choice. The restaurant is very busy and well staffed. Orders come out fast due to the computerised ordering system and very capable waiters.

Tesco Extra in Eastbourne (near Seaside) is my go-to supermarket, and I always enjoy visiting. Itβs a one-stop shop with everything you need β from fresh vegetables and daily essentials to clothing and home goods. The store is always well-stocked and organized, making shopping a breeze. Thereβs plenty of parking available, and the nearby car wash is a convenient bonus. The in-store cafΓ© is a nice spot to grab a coffee or snack, and the toilets are always clean. The staff are friendly, helpful, and ready to assist if you need anything.

This Tesco served as an excellent stop off point to evacuate my bowels and bladder on the way to an event I was attending in Eastbourne. Furthermore I'd forgotten to pack a toothbrush so managed to pick up that plus a few other bits and bobs. Overall rating of only 4 stars though as it is still a Tesco and the new advert is weird.

Well organised store with helpful and friendly staff. There is plenty of parking. The prices are very reasonable and they have items not stocked by other stores.

This is among top 3 worst supermarkets I have ever been to. It is always busy, cluttered, filthy, service is slow, scanning yourself or self-service is even slower than the tills. Customer toilets is like something out of a music festival with pee everywhere, no toilet paper, and broken toilet seats. Best to avoid and rather go to ASDA at the Crumbles.

Typical Tesco Extra store. Lots of parking. Always found the store to be clean, tidy and well stocked. The staff are friendly and helpful and willing to help you find that elusive item. Can get very busy at peak times so tend to avoid these. Recommended.

While shopping this morning I realised I'd left my mobile hone at home. I usually phone other half to come and collect me.after paying for my shopping I asked a member of staff if there was a pay phone . The lady explain there wasn't but allowed me to use her personal mobile to ring home . The staff member was called Tracy and went well beyond normal customer service. Thank you so much Tracy.
