Very nice halal chicken sandwich and very good veggie fried breakfast. Mushrooms nice and crispy. Coffee (macchiato) was strong and bitter (like it often is in Italy, in a good way) with a fine crema. The lad who was serving was polite. Recommend this place for food and a cuppa.
Yes like others I decided to try this place for breakfast full English as it was reasonably priced unlike many these days. Breakfast was 15.94 with a Moka. Also the coffee is well made here and even the moka was not sweet unlike other places that would use cheaper chocolate powder. The quality of breakfast was good and cooked well. And the dog didn’t mind the spacious layout of the interior so he didn’t get in the way of people. But i did find the table I sat at uncomfortable as the width under the table for your legs was very narrow. So I had to sit back to eat breakfast.
Hidden gem, absolutely delicious and £10 for a huge breakfast and a free drink, definitely recommend, they also accommodated for our dog xxx
I cannot recommend this lovely, family run cafe enough! Not only do they serve the most amazing coffee and food to take away or eat in, they also were willing and able to host a buffet reception and drinks at very short notice. The food, service and atmosphere in this lovely little cafe is the best!
This place is right on the sea front with views of the beach across to the pier. We had a milkshake and toasted sandwich. The sandwich was very nice and hot, served in a paper bag and on a paper plate. The milkshake was thick and creamy. We enjoyed them both but it was pricey.
We booked a table for 7 people for last night. Personally I found the place unwelcoming. Point blank Refused entry without face masks and told to go and buy them. No option to provide them inside which was odd considering it’s their preference and disappointing that they were so stern when telling us to go and buy them. Considering our group took up half the restaurant it just seemed ridiculous to enforce this and be so rude about it when there appeared to be no additional benefit. The limited staff serve you unmasked so it was effectively to enable us to walk past the bar on entrance. Really odd. Just a bit grotty inside. Especially the loos, felt more nightclub than restaurant. The food was ok to be fair. Nothing spectacular in my opinion, very vinegary and a bit tough. But it wasn’t bad. Huge portions. No order to how food came out. Mains came before starters and people had finished their main before others had even received theirs. It just didn’t flow well at all. Then a compulsory service charge is added. Not great in my opinion.
I ordered my takeaways lunch of ham and cheese croissant with my coffee today. After I left Crave, a guy at hospital asked where I got this coffee from. When I said crave his reply was “oh Crave is amazing”. He was correct. I have enjoyed my toasted croissant and coffee soooo much. Everything was superb from the service to the quality. Crave never disappoints. Thank you team
My office is based just around the corner from this delightful cafe, so I am a frequent visitor! I had previously been getting my coffees from marmalade a few doors down, but have to say I much prefer the food and the drinks at Crave. The service is excellent too. Sandra & Simon remember me by name and have my order ready to go before I’ve even asked for it! Highly recommend
